I hadn't worn Sandlewood for years, as the last bottle didn't smell good to me. But I tried again with this Brand, and discovered something, I believe, may be about the Sandlewood smell, or, maybe it's just my sense of smell ;) But I recommend not forming your opinion just smelling it in it's bottle. I used the dropper anyway, after not liking the smell just in the bottle. I only used one single drop on my wrist, and then rubbed it in with my other wrist. It was heavenly! Just as I loved the smell of Sandlewood back when. I just think using very minimal is best, this an excellent product, and I will buy it again!! Also, it still smelled good in the a.m. I'm so glad I didn't just set it aside and not use it, I added another drop this a.m. I love it! I know men wear a lot, I'm a woman and think it is wonderful for me too, although wow, when I smell it on a fella, it is, well, wow :)

I bought this to put in a special blend in my diffuser. My other oils you just have to shake to put it in the diffuser, but this has a dropped which makes it easier. The reason I got it is that a friend passed along a study that said the smell of rose (as an essential oil) has been shown to increase brain matter. Since I'm a caregiver for my dad with dementia (and it couldn't hurt me either) I thought I'd give it a try. So I found this recipe for the diffuser and this is one the oils. Below is what I'm using and it smells great. I hope it's working: The Brain & Heart Harmony Blend 3 drops Rose (Rosa damascena) 2 drops Frankincense (for grounding and mental clarity) 2 drops Geranium (for emotional balance) 1 drop Sandalwood (for peace and focus) Dilute in 10 ml jojoba oil. Apply over hear, temples, or wrists while practicing slow, mindful breathing

Majestic Pure Sandalwood "Premium Quality Oil", 1 oz, $9.99, the box it arrived in says, "Ingredients: Sandalwood fragrance (Santalum album) oil." Also on the box it says it's "Manufactured by [a company in] India." So disappointed. The oil I received is a very pale champagne color, not not thick or sticky. To my nose, smelling the so-called sandalwood oil in the bottle, it has a very weak dilute woodsy aroma. It also contains a floral odor, reminiscent of iris, as well as an unpleasant synthetic smell. When applied on my skin, this oil smells like dilute, bland baby powder. Any faint woodsy smell faded very quickly. I'm not a chemist, so can't prove it, but my suspicion is that this oil may not be pure, but has been diluted and cut with unknown ingredients, which are not listed. I don't recommend Majestic Pure sandalwood oil and will not buy again. Pro: The 1 oz glass bottle with screw top included a dropper. Products that contain misleading or false advertising have become frustratingly common on Amazon. It would be so helpful for customers if Amazon required products to be described accurately, including products from third party sellers. Update: I checked with Amazon; they allowed me to return this item. During the chat, I asked about misleading products on the site. An Amazon rep replied, "I have taken this as a feedback and our team will work on it please do not worry we will take care of this for you and we will make sure no more misleading claims in our site."

Great quality oil with a strong, pleasant scent. I use it in my foam hand soaps and also for general freshening, and it works perfectly for both. A little goes a long way, and it’s nice to have something so versatile around the house.

I'm no stranger to Majestic Pure essential oils and oil blends. I have many of their oils and use them quite often. This is my third order of sandalwood fragrance oil and, I'm sad to say that I am very disappointed this time around. The first two orders were fantastic. I really liked the smell and used it, satisfactorily, on my hair and in homemade products. The order I received today was not even close to what I was expecting. The bottles look the same. The seal was not broken and nothing was damaged. This order smelled very stale and almost like a camp fire. It's not a strong smell at all and feels sticky. I like the camefire smell when I'm camping but not when I'm expecting the lovely fragrance of sandalwood. My first order was of darker color. This order and the second were the same color but the fragrance differs tremendously. Maybe it was improperly stored or maybe this was a bad batch but I would be afraid to purchase another bottle in the future. I gave this 3 stars because I was highly satisfied with my first two orders. I would have preferred a very perfumey smell instead of the campfire smell for sure. Hopefully, other buyers will not run into this issue. Majestic Pure has been a good company in my opinion; however, this batch was not a good reflection of their quality control. It's a gamble and when you don't have money to lose, the stakes are big. Update: I ordered another sandalwood from a different company, Now, and I want to be fair. Upon opening the bottle from the different company, I was stunned and not in the best way. It had even less fragrance than this last bottle of sandalwood from MP. I knew it was a 14% oil blend and not the fragrance oil so I assumed it would have a stronger smell especially since I have many of their other essential oils and haven't had any issues. I was wrong. I thought MP's sandalwood was subtle, and it is, but not nearly as subtle as the Now I received. Although my last bottle of MP smells like a campfire, it does have a very slight hint of floral as an extreme undertone. Also upon closely examining the bottles from MP, I saw that my first order says it was made in Mayanmar, the second bottle says made in Germany, and the last one says made in USA. All three of them smell differently, but the last one, made in USA, has the weakest smell of them all especially in comparison to the two I first ordered. Essential oils vary in color, strength, and scent based on location and climate so it's possible that the last bottle of MP sandalwood I received was different because of certain conditions. It's still a gamble but a least I know that it could be worse. I took the few drops I had left of my second MP sandalwood and added a few to both new and very subtle bottles of sandalwood to help with the lack of aroma.

These oils are the best that I have used in my diffuser, they smell great and are very reasonably priced. I totally recommend them.

I have been buying from this company for many years now. The bottles are larger than most essential oils. They smell really good. A little goes a long way. It's very concentrated. I use in my oil diffuser and add water to dilute it. One bottle lasts me months.
