A strong and powerful vitamin
Great product! Heart Health: Used to improve blood lipids, such as lowering triglycerides and increasing "good" HDL cholesterol. Inflammation & Joint Health: Contains astaxanthin and EPA/DHA which help manage inflammation and reduce joint pain. PMS Management: Used to alleviate symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. Superior Absorption: The omega-3s in krill oil are attached to phospholipids (often phosphatidylcholine), which are absorbed more efficiently by the body compared to the triglyceride form found in standard fish oil. Antioxidant Source: Provides astaxanthin, which gives it a red color and protects against oxidative stress.

Ingredients are perfectly formulated highest recommended.
Another great product from this manufacturer. If you do your research on krill oil supplements you will find this brand to contain the highest level potency and distribution through the body. I'm subscribed, no side effects whatsoever, and because of my research I know this is the right brand for me.

Vanilla and moderate levels of omega 3s
The package states it is not for the treatment of any symptom or disease. So I will not make any claims that it fixes anything. I'm no doctor, and listening to me is not the same as listening to your doctor. That said, doctors do agree that increasing omega 3 fatty acids in the diet is a good thing. And this product does that with a little vanilla thrown in for style. Be aware that most sources say the beneficial dose of omega 3 fatty acids is 500 mg a day. This product does not provide that in one capsule. Simple solution, and the one I chose: take two. One with breakfast one with dinner. Sure, the krill oil folks will tell you that because of this and that in the composition of the fatty acids in krill oil, you can get away with taking less. But studies have also shown that the composition of the oils does not really matter. So don't under supplement. If 500 mg is the accepted dose for nutritional support, then take it. These pills have a fairly strong odor in the bottle, and made my pill fob stink. Had to start carrying them separately in order to take them on my meal break at work. But they do the job well. Now, I said I wouldn't make any claims they fixed anything, but I will note the following that have happened since I began taking the supplements. Both of these are verifiable using data from my fitness tracker, not just my own subjective feelings. First, my heart rate is lower than it was a month ago. Second, I am getting deeper, better quality sleep and waking up more refreshed. Both of these are listed as potential benefits of supplementing with omega 3 fatty acids. Should you add omega 3s to your daily supplements? Medical data seems to say yes. Should you take krill oil over fish oil, and particular this krill oil? Well, that's up to you. The pill size (not bad) and vanilla flavor are definitely reasons to think about this one. Less than recommended dosage is something to consider in your pricing equation as well. While this is a good product, it is likely I will try a couple more with higher doses to compare the effects before settling on one brand. (full disclosure: this company places an offer in the box for a free small bottle of krill oil if you write a review. I will be redeeming that offer soon)

Switched from fish oil and not looking back
I made the switch from standard fish oil capsules to this krill oil since November, and there are a few meaningful differences worth sharing for anyone considering the same move. First, the obvious one: no fishy aftertaste or burp-back. With traditional fish oil, that was a daily annoyance. These capsules have a very mild, neutral smell, and I've had zero repeat flavor. That alone was a win. The Superba Krill sourcing matters here — Antarctic krill is generally considered a cleaner, more sustainable source than many fish oil products, and the phospholipid-bound omega-3s in krill are thought to be more bioavailable than the triglyceride form found in most fish oils. Whether you feel that difference is hard to quantify day-to-day, but the science behind it is solid, and it influenced my decision to try this brand specifically. At 1000mg per softgel, the dose feels right. The softgels themselves are small — noticeably smaller than most fish oil capsules, which is a plus if you take multiple supplements daily and have pill fatigue. One thing to be aware of: if you have a shellfish allergy, krill oil is not appropriate for you — worth flagging since some people don't realize krill is a crustacean. Also, krill oil is typically pricier than fish oil per serving, so that's a real tradeoff to weigh. Overall, Sports Research is a brand I trust for transparency and sourcing, and this product lives up to that. A cleaner, more convenient omega-3 option for those willing to pay a small premium.

Great supplement, Great Price... and No.. absolutely No fish taste.
I am 35 and very active, but have been suffering with mild osteoarthritis discomfort in my shoulders, knees, and ankles. I've been using SRC's Krill Oil for a couple weeks now primarily for joint inflammation, and so far the results have been positive, and pretty consistent with what I read in other reviews about how long it takes to start having an effect. The pain isn't completely gone, but I have noticed my knees and ankles have eased a little, not much change in the shoulders yet. As far as general wellness in any other regard i haven't noticed anything, but will continue to re-post as time goes on, and I have some results to compare blood work numbers from my annual physical. Given the difficult time I had in doing research on this product before buying, I would like to at least contribute my data to the pool here for other skeptics like myself who don't like sifting through 100 sites of garbage reviews trying to see if there is any PROOF behind all the marketing. Final ruling on the smell in my opinion.. While people should never expect a bottle of Krill oil to smell like flowers the slight amount of Vanillin included does help mask the odor, and I haven't had a single fish burp. Good luck to everyone out there who is thinking of trying this product. I will post back when I know more.
