Enjoy this translation for the commentary as well as the ease of understandably
One of the things I most enjoy about the Kindle is its capacity to hold multiple translations of the Bible along with study guides. This allows me to study the scriptures without a bunch of heavy books scattered all around. I also appreciate that Kindle editions of the Bible don't seem to be carelessly edited. You don't find weird typos commonplace with too many other digital renditions of written works. Why would I buy yet another modern Bible translation, particularly when there are plenty of King James versions with extensive study notes available for free? Because I checked out a sample of this publication and found the introductory explanations about the history of scriptural translations and their organization really helpful. I've been a student of the Bible for nearly 50 years. As a kid I read some of the earliest 'modern language' versions trying to make sense of the scriptures, but some of those had their own sources of confusions. I was graduated from college with a degree in English education, having had to memorize most of Shakespeare's works in the course of my studies. studies. Years later I realized I could stop using the excuse of not reading the King James Bible because I had trouble with its stilted English. Years after that I read the King James Bible, and still do, in church, but I don't much like it. The Bible is a love letter, and frankly, if my loved one wrote to me in such stilted terms, I'd have a hard time keeping a straight face. I don't think in King James English, so when I read the Bible in King James English, I'm making translations in my head anyway. So why not read the modern translations? They help me muddle through some of the more complex passages. And this version's commentaries help explain some of the passages which my American understanding can't otherwise comprehend, given the Bible's middle eastern roots. Driving I enjoy listening to modern language translations such as The Message. But it and some other versions seem to stray so far from the church-familiar King James, I don't always follow them well either. I greatly appreciate this CVE translation' s lyrical word choices. They're not too far out in left field, and the reasoning behind the compilers' efforts is thoroughly explained, without tedium. More than that, this is the most affordably priced study Bible I've seen. Finally! Someone understands that if you set out to craft a Bible translation that is easier to read and understand, you've only done half your job if it's so expensive few people buy it! In short, get this. I think you'll like it. Unless of course you prefer to be mystified by the King James English Bible.

"Perfectly Clear"
This CEV Bible is written in English, but so is the King James Version. Or is it? The KJV is written in 16th century English. Shakespeare also wrote in 16th century English and we all know that Shakespeare is difficult to interpret. Scholars spend whole careers trying to figure it out. What makes it so difficult is that we do not speak, think, or write in 16th century English. Years ago I discovered the NIV Bible, and it was fabulous because it is much easier to understand than the KJV. Only recently have I discovered the CEV and purchased this Bible. It is fantastic and so easy to read and understand, just like a regular book you'd pick up, and even better than the NIV. I really look forward to reading my CEV Bible and understanding absolutely everything written. Here's the kicker that KJV devotees miss entirely. God Himself tells us to listen to what he says in the language that we speak day to day. In Numbers 12:6–8 God tells Aaron and Mariam, Moses's brother and sister, how He communicates verbally with Moses; "He sees me face to face, and everything I say to him is perfectly clear." (NIV adds; "and not in riddles"). So, your choice; read what God says in riddles in the KJV, or read it as it is "perfectly clear" in the CEV Bible.

Incredible
I bought a LJV Bible a few years ago and got a few pages in before I realized I had no idea what was going on. I didn’t comprehend any of it. I tried a few other times to pick up where I left off, but I just couldn’t keep up. I eventually set it down and didn’t open it up for years. Until recently. And once again, I came to the same conclusion. I just couldn’t follow and comprehend it well at all. So I decided to look at some easier and more modern versions of the Bible and I found this. I read 80 pages the first week or two and understood all of it. It’s surprisingly very interesting and engaging too. I know many Christian’s who have never read the Bible. That may be because they haven’t found one like this. I’ve recommended it to many and it is for sure worth it. They do a fantastic job and I can’t wait to finish it :)

いわゆる「信仰」を定義している抽象的内容の部分ですが・・ “Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see. It was their faith that made our ancestors pleasing to God. Because of our faith, we know that the world was made at God's command. We also know that what can be seen was made out of what cannot be seen. Because Abel had faith, he offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did.God was pleased with him and his gift, and even though Abel is now dead, his faith still speaks for him. …But without faith no one can please God. We must believe that God is real and that he rewards everyone who searches for him. もっと具体的な記述(出エジプト2:1〜4 モーセ誕生のくだり)では・・ “A man from the Levi tribe married a woman from the same tribe, and she later had a baby boy. He was a beautiful child, and she kept him inside for three months. But when she could no longer keep him hidden, she made a basket out of reeds and covered it with tar. She put him in the basket and placed it in the tall grass along the edge of the Nile River. The baby's older sister stood off at a distance to see what would happen to him.” 安価なこともあって、つい2冊購入してしまいました。これから、常に携帯し、座右に置き、「心の糧」をがつがつ食したく思っているところです。

Amazing translation with simple English
Wow! Excellent for beginners and those who wants to read a simple English. Clear translation and the meaning has not affected by it. I love to ready everyday. The cover of the book is a normal laminated cover. The thickness of the book is little big. Could have given with a leather cover.

The Best readable Bible!
I have a C.E.V. Bible from 1996, it is well read. On July 2021 we were 50 years married, so I sent away for this Bible for an anniversary gift for my husband. He undertook to read it in a year, as guided in the back of the book, he did it!!! Shortly after that I ordered another Bible for a friend. I recommend this Bible to everyone, even our Anglican priest uses it in our services as it is so understandable for the present day. God bless you all. xxx D

Tô A-MAN-DO! 😄😄😄
