We needed a toilet paper holder for a snug nook where my husband barely fits. We ended up buying this recessed holder, which saved us from having to mount a traditional holder in a bizarre location just to fit his knees. We're very happy with this product, and ordered a second for our upstairs bath! The spring-loaded plunger that holds the roll was a little bent/sticky on the second holder, but we took it apart and sanded the inside a bit and now it slides perfectly.

Installation was awful! We were replacing an already existing in-wall TP holder. First off the installation screws are too long and hit the back of the outside wall! I had to cut them. Then it didn't fit tight and was loose. I had to put shims on the back of the bracket to make it snug so it wouldn't move. Looks nice and seems to be of good quality.

I just received the item, and it appears very well made. The reason for the lower rating is that the color is much darker than the picture in the product listing. To me, it's dark enough to be an entirely different color altogether. Still, it is very sturdy and will serve our small bathroom well enough. After all, it is mostly obscured by a roll of toilet paper.

Very good workmanship and quality. I bought two (1 chrome, 1 bronze). Complete kit, has all hardware needed, and explicit instructions for installation. If I had more bathrooms, I'd buy more.

This product is Oil Rubbed Bronze, looks black. I kept it bc the toilet is in a separate room, where fictures are bronze.

I am sorry this review is late in response to the order I placed. Having a kitchen , 2 bathrooms and a laundry room still under going renovation during Christmas was certainly made easier by the quick delivery of the pieces I ordered to finish the decor of my bathroom made it less stressful. A full time Massage Therapist I am a full time contractor I am not. Haha. I marked five stars on the installation even though that has not been done yet because I know from the looks of everything involved it will be easy. Instructions included are easy to read.Thank You. This is a great and sturdy metal holder. Looks wonderful in our newly remodeled bathroom! The only thing I would have liked changed is the color of the wood screws that come with it. The flat-end screws that come with it are color matched, but the wood screws are just the regular bright silver ones. I ended up spraying them with Rustoleum Bronze paint, so easy fix. Now they match perfectly with the holder. :-)

My father accidentally pulled his out of the wall so needed to be replaced. The installation was super simple as evidenced by the fact that I was able to install it. The finish is almost identical to the expensive one my dad had before. I wish it had a design on the edge to make it a bit fancier, like the old one, but this type was difficult to find and looks beautiful.
