Excellent with steel and lead shot.
Definitely worth the money for the upgrade. If you want to make a longer shot using steel this is definitely going to work perfectly. Keeps a tight pattern out to 45 yards using 3" #2 steel giving me consistently better results on those farther shots out past the decoys. Works just as well with lead shot. I couldn't be more satisfied.

These things work great.
Very easy to install or remove. I shot 2 rounds of trap with these and 19 with the short range and 21 with the long range tube. It has been a long tim since I shot trap. I had to travel a long way to get to a range where I could do so. The shotgun I used was an old Remington 11-87 with a 26" barrel. These tubes are much easier to use than the Remchokes I used previously. Next season the ducks are doomed.

This fit my Remington 870 perfectly. Comes with a free tool, but you don't need it. I haven't put a shell through it yet.
