do older people wothback problems use this chair>

I'm nearly 40, and I've had back problems from a childhood accident. My sister bought a green bunjo, and when me or my brother came in the room we'd use it. I just grab a couple pillows to sit on. I recently spent two weeks sleeping in the chair and it was quite comfortable. Now the bungee cords on ours are stretched out a bit after a couple years. Just try with a pillow or two, it's a great chair. I'm going to buy one for myself. Hope this helps.

Is this chair flame retardant in accordance with the state of California? I'd like to use it in my classroom.

These chairs do not have a California fire rating.

At first the cords don't stretch much, it flexes enough to support your back and body weight. As you use it, and put pillows in it to sit on, the cords become more flexible. Eventually flexible enough to sleep on, I did for two weeks.

How wide/long are the largest gaps between the bungees? i have a 4.5 year old son with severe cp so i worry about an arm/leg getting stuck in a hole.

The holes are pretty small in the inside and then get larger as it widens,My arm could also get stuck but easily come out
