Is this conditioner kind of thin? My bottle that I recieved, the product is not thick like other conditioners are.

Sounds odd to me. I've bought this same product at least 6 times or more because I really like it, but it's always been the same consistency as most other conditioners.

how do I open the pump bottle ? never had issue before on other marked Open /Close products...unmarked?

I also had a problem. I kept turning it counter clockwise and clockwise. I tapped the side with the blunt end of a knife too. It will eventually pop up. Perseverance!

is this a shampoo and conditioner product or do you have to shampoo and rinse before applying? Is it a leave in or do you wash it off?

This is just a conditioner so you will need to shampoo first. They also have a shampoo product which our swimmer loves. It is not a leave in conditoner.
