How wide is the belt?

My belts are 1 1/2" wide, also when I ordered I expected my belts to have plastic buckles (according to picture) but they were metal and not great quality, however, they are functional.

Is this tactical? If it ain't tactical don't waste my time

It's the same as 5.11 and they call theirs tactical. It's not heavy weight.

Can the extra belt be cut

Yes. Just have to burn the cut end once done so it doesn't fray.
