An excellent book, very thought provoking

This is the second book I have read by Ryan Holiday. I find his style of writing both easy to follow and very engaging. He makes what can 'be perceived as a dull topic come alive with his insight and humour.

This book is greatly designed and the hardback makes the reading experience much more enjoyable. The book itself is great and highlights key teachings that would be required in everyday life, it shapes a great mind of a resilient mind which is great for athletes going through obstacles (injuries).

I think I have read most of Ryan's books and have watched lots of his YouTube videos. He writes in a way that is easy to understand, which then makes it easy to apply to your own life.

It’s a must read. It has transformed my ability to deal with things. I highly recommend it! I will re-read this again and again

I already owned a digital version of this book which I’ve read several times, but when I saw the Anniversary hardback edition I knew I had to have it. The amount of value I’ve gotten from this book (and all of Ryan’s work) is astounding.

One of the best books I have read, changed my life for the best. Thank you Ryan. I now buy this book as a birthday present or any other tenuous reason for friends to spread the word

Best for philosophy lovers

This easy reading book brings up real wisdom. It's ancient knowledge that our Western society seems to have forgotten.

A very good book. Ryan and his knowledge of stoicism has given us readers a versatile breadth of knowledge with his books. This book is no different. Very, very clearly lays out how adversity is necessary if you want to succeed. Uses not only stoicism but other historical accounts to back up his points. it is both a great self-help book and history lesson in a way.
