Converter fills easily and works well with my Lamy Safari pen allowing me to finally use my pretty ink!

I love this pen & it’s converters! I’ve bought 2 of the pens and one set of five converters and I’ve considered buying another pen in a different color and a spare set of converters! The design is very easy to use and intuitive, put the tip of the converter into the ink jar (or well XD), Turn the red knob thingy and watch the ink fill it up as you twist. In my estimations, the refills of this pen’s inkwell with ink from a jar has made the investment well worth it since I can choose from a wide variety of colors to write in (especially with 5 converters) but also it’s probably the best my handwriting has ever looked. I write relatively fast and small and roller ball pens and gel pens don’t accommodate that very well but with this pen I feel my writing is much more legible and the ink dries relatively quickly so that the ink doesn’t smudge.

I purchased these convertors for my new Kuretake MANNEN MOUHITSU (No.13) Refillable fude brush marker pen. The results were fantastic. Very easy to use with Super Black Speedball Ink with no leakage whatsoever. A great buy for those who don't want to use disposable cartridges.

Lamy pens, in this case, my Lamy Safari (one of the best beginner fountain pens) come with an ink cartridge. If you would like to use bottled ink, it is necessary to buy a converter, as pictured. Easy to pop in and easy to use. Amazon sells them in a set of 5. I like the freedom of ink choice this gives me, in a pen that I reach for often due to it being such a smooth writer and so light and easy to hold. Everyone needs at least one Lamy Safari fountain pen, and I’d highly recommend these converters to bump up the fun.

I was very excited to open up the package of converters. I was long awaiting their arrival so i can use them in my new Lamy Safari pens. It was nice to see that the seller, sells these official and quality made Lamy converters. The items were delivered within a fair amount of time from placing the order. The cost point was reasonable vs delivery time. What are you waiting for, color your world too.

These are proprietary to Lamy, but work in any of their pens, including the Joy calligraphy pens and of course the safari and al-star. They have a good filling mechanism. I can get a good 80% of the converter filled with the suction method, but I usually use a filling syringe to get it 100% filled. They fit the pen securely and they don't leak. They're sturdy, and as converters go, they're quite affordable.

I started using these because I was going through so much ink. I bought some fancy ink, but that experiment is not working out. I will keep looking for an ink that has enough contrast, the right color, and the right flow. It is not the cartridge's fault. Pro Tip: They have tiny nibs on the side. These nibs slide into slots on the pen and snap into place. It is possible to seat them without using the nib, but I would not recommend it.

Fits well on the lamy pens with a couple spare should anything happen. Wouldn’t fit a different pen though! but hey Ho never mind right.

I only have two fountain pens at the moment, but since I'm likely to expand my collection, this pack of five converters was a great value. I’m a big fan of the Lamy Safari range, and these converters work perfectly with them. It’s convenient to have a few extras on hand, and I’m very satisfied with this purchase. Highly recommend for anyone who loves the Lamy Safari fountain pens!

At first didn’t notice the little prongs that hold the item in the correct place but they work well. Removes the need to use cartridges that are not refillable. This this is a good product.
