Excellent quality
This French publication of the French master is printed on very good quality paper with precise inking for clarity. Well bound.

Beautiful and accurate
If you're an amateur pianist or use scores for study, and especially if you're used to the cheap Dover editions, you need to obtain these. Easy to read, beautiful, and edited by someone (Roy Howat) who really understands Debussy's life and music. A steal at $30 or under!

Wonderful edition
This is newly published. It is scholarly. There are changes in notes from the previous two volumes. This is great because both Volumes 1 and 2 are finally together in this edition. Hooray. Pages are easy to read, the notation is large enough for mature eyes and also has a some finger numbers. Buy it.

... as clear as the original Durand but with much better quality paper stock
Every bit as clear as the original Durand but with much better quality paper stock. Leaf and string bound so there is no worry about pages falling out.

Excellent edition with clear, easy to read print
This is an excellent edition of Debussy's Preludes. I love that the print is extremely clear and easy to read. The binding made it difficult for the book to stay open at first. I will only buy these new Durand editions of Debussy.

An excellent edition marred by a horrible binding
Excellent scholarly and performance edition...but the binding is one of the WORST I have ever dealt with. No amount of training or flat-out spine breaking helped this book stay open. I finally threw in the towel and had it spiral bound - and I hate doing that to books.

Attractive but has quality issues
4 stars for being an authoritative yet affordable edition of the Debussy preludes. My copy came with one bad page printed fuzzily. It's readable and not worth the trouble of having replaced, but annoying. Also the book is very difficult to keep flat on the stand and you may end up handling it pretty roughly. Too bad for an otherwise very attractive edition.

Edizione obbligatoria

Book won't stay open!
Great edition. However the binding is very unforgiving. I've repeatedly bent the book backwards on its binding but it still refuses to stay open when I play. I had to weigh down the pages with two heavy textbooks on either side, but even then it still likes to close on it's own.

Nice quality
The binding is quite stiff, but the printing quality is excellent. A good purchase.
