Great seeds
I buy ivy geraniums every summer and the are getting very expensive, even buying smaller ones to make up my hanging pots and window boxes. I decided this year I would try growing my own, I only wish I bought these seeds sooner because geraniums take up to 18 weeks to get to the size I normally get at the greenhouse. I read the reviews and the helpful hints on starting the seeds. I soaked them in water overnight then planted in starter soil the next day. Within a few days they started to sprout. I placed the plants on a heating pad for plants till the plants were somewhat established, then put in a window that gets sun most of the day. I am very happy with these seeds and plan on buying them every summer.

Cascading or upright?
Bought the red x 10 seeds and mixed x 20 seed. 8 red came up and 12 mixed at this point. Decent germination rate based on recommendation of 2-3 seeds per plant. I bought thinking these would be a mid-cascading geranium but at this early stage the huge leaves and the branching looks more upright/zonal geranium. Iโll update with additional pictures this summer but keeping my fingers crossed for alpine style cascading. Update: July 2024 Definitely cascading and doing well despite the heat. Every seedling is planted and we didn't lose any. The 2 additional pictures do show the best of the lot but all of them are doing well. I'll put in another order for next year as my wife and I are very pleased with the results.

Not great germination rate
I bought two packets of the fuschia ones, so 40 seeds in all. I planted them in seed starting pots and put them in my greenhouse. Only 14 germinated. Iโm glad 35% germinated , but also I wish more grew.

Marvelous
I had my doubts (in the picture they are showing regular and cascade) but they really are cascade. I love the collor. I bought them in february and did not plant them right away , I put the seeds in a nursery. 19 seeds out of 20 germinated. I planted them outside in may and this is the result now in July ๐ฉท

Do not buy!
Only 1 seed sprouted, died within two days. Experienced & planted in my greenhouse. All other plants thriving. They do not guarantee germination, they do not replace pack of seeds. Expensive lesson to never buy from them.

Soak your seeds!
I received the 20 seeds as 2 packets of ten. They're a little bigger than a pen tip--bigger than most lettuce seeds, but smaller than a pepper or tomato seed. The included growing instructions were ok, but I did my own research before growing (the prices on ivy leaf geranium seeds are a little steep for me to just wing it ๐ฌ). One important step that I think the instructions miss is to SOAK YOUR SEEDS. I took one of the packets, soaked all of the seeds in a small cup of warm water overnight, then drained the water. One seed's coating had already split. I then prepared small upcycled cups by cutting a drainage hole in the bottom and filling them with moistened seed starter mix. I gently pressed two seeds into each cup, lightly covered with a little bit of the starter mix, then put each cup into some sort of mini-greenhouse (old takeout container with a clear lid, that sort of thing--also just put a clear applesauce cup over one as a dome). I don't have a heat mat, so I found a warm place in my house for each tray...and the first seed germinated in TWO DAYS. I'm on day 6 and I already have 6/10 germinated ๐. No "true leaves" yet, but these do look like the first leaves of a baby geranium (methinks). I figured this was a good point to review because the rest is up to me, not the seed company. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I only removed a star because, as with most seed purchases, I just wish that the instructions were more extensive.

100% Germination
All ten seeds in the packet germinated. Soaked them in a wet paper napkin for eight hours then planted in Hoffman seed starter planting mix in a covered plastic tray. Added a warming mat on day 3. They are a half inch tall after sowing five days ago.
