I have noticed that not all 18650 lithium batteries are equal. Some are cheap, others expensive, some heavy and some are light. So I wanted a charger that could tell the difference and apply the right charge for each type and capacity of each battery,I am not an expert in electronics but this charger appears to have distinguished between high and low quality batteries that I charged recently and charged them with different voltages and times. So I think that this may be a smart charger indeed.I am very pleased with this purchase and price.

I've ordered several of these now and the second batch doesn't operate the same as the first batch for whatever reason despite all being the same model. I use them for charging AAA cells for various electronic needs on a frequent basis.As for the performance, it does what it claims to do which is all that I ask of it, and at an affordable price.I less prefer units like this with the sliding tabs for batteries as they don't all slide with the same ease. Some slots are sticky or less fluid on the sliding action. I had one cell vent, it was a bad cell, which required cleaning of the slide track. This one bay no longer operates consistently as a result. I hope the slides hold up and are durable for the long haul.

So far so good! Charges faster than my older charger and it shows how much voltage and MaH per battery. Happy as a clam here!My only concern is durability. I’ll update again in a year or two...

I am very satisfied with my purchase. It is everything I expected plus more. I bought this purchase mainly to charge vape batteries but it does a variety of sized batteries. The device reads the type of battery on its own and even loops the charge evenly thought out. Very user friendly and a great price, and that is why I gave it a 5 star reading . I would recommend this to anyone.
