Cheap and flimsy, which is exactly what I wanted for the classroom.
These retractable play knifes are inexpensive and flimsy—which is ok for me. I use them in a classroom when we act out Julius Caesar. I don’t need anything that is durable because the kids can be hard on them and this is a classroom, not a drama department. I would buy again.

Not durable but lots of fun
I bought three sets of these to stage a scene from Julius Caesar in my sophomore English classes. In the different classes, six students and I stabbed a student playing Julius Caesar 27 times. Only four of the nine knives survived the day, and of those four, two were so badly gummed up with fake blood that they no longer retracted smoothly. The kids loved it, though, so I'll probably buy again next year.

Fun little novelty gift!
So fun! Did I need these? No. Do we have a blast with them? Yes lol. Just a fun little novelty gift that I bought for me and my 2 adult Siblings. We drive our parents crazy with them and use them all the time!

Will break with minimal light use. Don’t waste your money or time on these.
I chose these because the rating wasn’t too bad. We bought them as a replacement for one we bought that was from China. That one took nearly a month for us to receive and only lasted a week before it broke. My son loved it and played with it a lot. I was hoping these would be better but wasn’t expecting much considering they type of toy it is. They were much worse than expected. They were more flimsy than the other one and two of the three broke as soon as my son started playing with them. He wasn’t playing rough either...just pressing the blade into the handle. I would just request a refund if my son wasn’t so upset and dead set on getting a replacement. Replacement is easy through Amazon, but the company only takes UPS deliveries so now I have to take the garbage toys to the UPS store to return them. If the replacements are made as poorly as these I will just get my money back.
