Eve Hansen Rosehip Oil for Face & Skin – Organic Cold-Pressed Rosehip Seed Oil | Hydrating & Fast-Absorbing Moisturizer | 2oz

I can't compare this to many other skin treatments since I am a dude and have only used this and Cetaphil. But I've had some rosacea issues in these later years. First, if you have rosacea, diet actually can have an effect. Try the simple experiment of eating massive bowls of steaming hot soup heavily dosed with hot sauce. Physically hot food + spicy hot food = major rosacea breakout! I had a similar effect with peanuts, supposedly containing androgens. I caught on one week when I did all three for several days in a row because I ran out of anything to eat but canned soup, hot sauce, and a bag of peanuts. I was calling this my Post-Apocalyptic Diet because it's like "Hey, look what we found in the burned-out filling station!" I ended up with a rush trip to the dermatologist, who didn't even ask about my diet. After some online research, I ate nothing but bland food, and within 48 hours my skin cleared. So based on this not-very-general experiment, I'll testify that diet does impact rosacea. But websites on the topic also recommended rosehip oil for the skin, to help moisturize and exfoliate it. This product came highly recommended by other Amazon users. First, it's a big bottle for this kind of product, 4 oz. Even if you apply it twice per day to yo big face (as in my case), this should last maybe 2-3 months. Second, it has a nice, woodsy fragrance, very mild. Third, I can feel it, very distinctly, working for hours. Without question, this rosehip oil smoothes and evens out skin damaged by rosacea, at least in my case. For all I know, rubbing canola oil into my face would have the same effect, but drawing flies is probably worse than rosacea, and would make you look like a cartoon hobo. Do note that it does have a fragrance though, not added as I understand it, but the natural fragrance of what here is supposed to be an undiluted product. Cetaphil is an excellent alternative, and in fact I sometimes use both, to good effect. Cetaphil is what you often see given away as samples in any dermatologist's office. But this is a better-feeling product, and very pleasant to use.

I absolutely LOVE Eve Hansen's Rosehip oil!! Great quality at a great price. If you've been spending a fortune on anti aging skin creams like I did... Save your money and get REAL results, all natural with no chemicals. Im going to try Eve Hansen's other oils bc the quality is superior. And for the face, this rosehip oil WILL diminish your wrinkles and heal and renew your skin at the cellular level. It WILL diminish puffiness and dark circles, lighten dark spots, fade scars. I used a very exemsive name brand cream that starts with "Stri" for YEARS. This Rosehip oil is better. And at this price, it's obvious that Eve Hansen isn't hopping on the "all natural" bandwagon and selling products at a ridiculous mark up. They are putting out a great product at a fair price! UPDATE: 4/20/15. I just ordered this product from Eve Hansen for the fourth time! That's how much I love it. I make skin care products and they all contain this Rosehip Oil. I've also purchased Eve Hansen lemon oil and Vitamin C serum. I've purchased many brands of Rosehip oil over the years and this is THE BEST. the same goes for the other Eve Hansen products I've purchased. First of all, when you open the bottles, you can immediately smell how fresh these products are. They are made very well and not lingering in a warehouse for a year somewhere. Rosehip oil is wonderful by itself- it's qualities cannot be understated. You WILL notice a difference in your skin. It promotes healing and regeneration on a cellular level and the better the quality, the better it will work. This product is top of the line!! The Rosehip oil has a light earthy smell and a very nice consistency. It emulsifies very well if you use it to make lotion or any product that contains water. The products I make with it are for myself and also for other people. I require excellent products when making skin care items for others. The truth about how wonderful this Rosehip oil is lies in the fact that I'm on my fourth bottle since January. Like most people out there, I don't want to waste money on something that doesnt work. Eve Hansen's RoseHip oil will not disappoint you and the price for four ounces is fantastic!

I bought it because I was bored at work one day. I purposefully waited for almost a month before writing a review. My son has severe eczema that made his skin itch at all time. Because he scratched and it bled all the time, his toddler skin because leathery and severely dry. I apply as much lotion I could, different ones with no satisfying result. So I came by this product while browsing through Amazon, I have Amazon Prime. I read through it, it says that it's good for nourishing skin and I bought it originally for meself first. When I apply at night after I wash my face (damp skin), I could feel the oil worked its magic right away. Without making my oily skin oily, it nourishes and hydrates my skin and you only need to apply a very small amount (like a tear drop, literally!). I apply in the morning and at night after I wash my face on damp skin, very small amount. Face, neck, and chest. It smelled rather bad, not bad, I would say, like a decaying rose (wilted?) nothing that I couldn't stomach. The smell is mild and right away forgotten about a couple minutes after you apply it. I never smell it on me through out the day, not sure about other people. The oil is reddish in color. So, since it worked on me, I applied it on my son's face and whole body (generous amount) mix with his lotion, and his skin was softer than expected. If I were a stayed home mom, I would have put it on every 4-6 hours on damp skin and I knew it would have been good, but now I could only do it every 12 hours since I work. When I apply, it did make his skin very soft. His face had been excellent and was the softest part of his body with minimal breakout from eczema. I noticed his back was soft when I undress him for shower at night (the only one that didn't get wash/ throughout the day). I gotta ask the supplier if it's ok to mix the oil with lotion and let it sit, would it decrease or change the potency? if it won't, then that's what I'm going to do for my son. Overall, 100% happy with the product and am ordering another one as I wrote this.

This product is absolutely awesome!!!! Wanted to try it for a few days before I wrote the review. I've been using it on my face for two weeks and my skin looks absolutely awesome (using in conjunction with Voila Ve triple action vitamin C serum and low and high molecular hyaluronic acid serum). There is a really nice glow, the pores have closed, smile lines reduced, and I look much younger. I then decided to use it on the back of my hands because they really looked dry and wrinkled. Amazingly, after one application I saw a difference and after one week (using twice per day) my hands look 75% better and so, so, soft. My husband noticed my hands (because he was the one always complaining about how bad they looked) and was so amazed that he started using it also. I am 54 years old and my hands and face look years younger. I'm hooked!!! Will keep this in my anti-aging arsenal. There is a slight "cod liver oil" smell, but it is quickly absorbed in the skin. The smell dissipates within minutes and is well worth the end results.

11/28/2015 - First Time Use I bought this because of the reviews about it. Also the seller seems to respond to the customers comments. Also, a friend of mine from Madrid, Spain told me about ROSA MOSQUETA which she said is effective for stretch marks as she has been using it. It's American name is Rosehip Oil so I looked for the famous USDA logo not knowing what really to expect. The Rosa Mosqueta is too small from Aubrey Organics so I chose this one from Eve Hansen. When I received the package, which was very fast shipping by the way, I noticed its orangey color and fishy smell. The fish oil smell is not strong at all. It looks like olive oil in consistency except that the color is not yellow, green, or deep green. I tried it last night on my legs where my skin is cracking because of this horrible cold weather. When I woke up my skin was not flaking. I also tried it on my face and it felt soft. I went to Target in the afternoon and was scared of the 68 degree Fahrenheit sudden warmness outside so I out it on my arms and face. I did not want to smell like a fish so I covered it with my Loccitane Divine Serum to hide the fish oil smell. It blended in well. The smell easily goes away on its own too. I don't know the benefits yet but I will definitely update this review because I think people deserve to know the honest truth about products online and about any beauty enhancing products in general. I have facial scars from my teenage years and only Loccitane made it softer and smoother BUT NOT COMPLETELY. So, if this product is good for scars as many claims, I will definitely update this review. 05/12/2015 The oil works well as a skin moisturizer. My legs are not flaking anymore and the wrinkling has been minimised. The best feature of this product is its being light weight with the fishy smell that easily goes away after you apply it. I also tried it in my lega which haf acarring due to a bed bug bite I got from watching outsoor movies! It was so itchy when it was fresh and the only way for me not to scratch it and make it bleed was to use calamine but it was not wnough since the scratching left it some deep scars of irregular shapes and sizes. Since my skinw as dry and flaky the scar was more obvious. I tried this rosehip oil as a moisturizer for my legs and thought it would minimise the scar when my skin gets moisturised. It did. Now the slight recess on my leg is soft and the skin is now even with the surrounding healthy skin. What I did was put three drops per scar and massaged it in circular motion for about one minute and I repeated it every night before going to bed. I also put it on my face especially with the acne scars but I did not see any difference. I did notice that the lines on the top of my nose in between my eyes looks softer and less noticeable. The cold weather contributes to the deepening of my scars since the skin dries out. And the roaehip oil helped my skin to maintain moisture.

Came in a very good packaging(see pics) with a dropper. Color is bright orangish yellow and oil is having the exact rosehip fragrance. Will update atleast after 10 days of use to share how this product works on my skin. Update: I have been using this in combination with Geranium oil(1oz of rose-hip : 12 drops of geranium) for almost 2 weeks or more I find my skin better than before. My face looks clear and smooth. Still waiting to see results on lines under the eyes. But overall skin appearance has improved giving a young and fresh look. It does not clog the pores. Its very light good to be used under makeup however I would recommend using this daily before going to bed. Just 1-2 drops is enough. I have a very dry skin and 1-2 drops is enough for me. I have been suffering from KP since childhood and it has worsened after childbirth. This combination seems to reduce the bumps (not the brown spots) completely just minutes after applying. However they do appear if I stop using. So this has become my daily skin care regime for all over my hands and legs. I use them liberally on my hands and legs though. Hoping regular application would be beneficial in removing the spots as well.

For me, this was just an ok product. Other people. may love it, but I didn't care for the scent at all.

Excellent seller! Item arrived as described and on time. The oil really does a fishy smell but goes away right away so I really don't mind. I've been using the product for 6 days now together with Yeouth Hyaluronic Acid + Serum and I really saw some changes on my face. I've got oily, acne prone and sensitive skin. I also have huge pores at 43. I noticed that my pores got smaller and my face glows when I wake up in the morning. I use this product after the serum as moisturizer and I love the effect on my face. On the third day though, I noticed a rash-like thing on my right face. I thought I was allergic to the product but it made me think otherwise coz I should have had it all over my face if I was allergic to it. So, I might have just held on to something and wipe it on my face. But anyway, those rashes are gone now and my face glows, got lighter and soft. I am not sure if it was because of the serum or this rose hip oil. All I know is, the combination of these two works on me and it has just been 6 days. Can't wait to see further results after using it for long. Also, I have dark underarms since giving birth which means I already have it for years. And it might be kind of weird but I tried to use it on my underarm and guess what, it lightened my underarms a bit....for just 6 days! Also, i uapplied some to my heels coz it is sooo dry and cracking. Wow, it works!!
