Is the clock a plug in, or battery?

It is a battery and the batteries do not come with it. These clocks are really cool!

Does this work in a garage with hot and cold temperatures all year? We live in Ohio.

We have our Mark Feldstein clock on our living room wall. However, since it is battery-run, I would expect it to run aswell in your garage as it would in your house.

After changing the battery or adjusting for daylight saving time the engine sounds no longer match the car. How do I correctly reset the sounds?

The instructions that come with the clock say to remove all batteries, set the clock to 12:50 (10 minutes before 1:00), insert all batteries and then set the clock to the current time (turning clockwise). That's always worked for me.

Where is the built in stand?

There is no stand. There is a place to mount it on the wall.
