Experiments Manual t/a Digital Electronics: Principles and Applications w/MultiSim CD ROM

Tokheim has been the standard basic electronics laboratory experiment manual for the last 30 years; I started with the 2nd Edition in college. Now, as an instructor, I am using the 8th Edition purchased here. The textbook starts with basic digital electronic (the type of signals used in computers) circuits and works its way up to basic microprocessor circuits in a clear, logical progression. Two complaints:1. The microprocessor portion of the book should be using modern low-cost processors like the Arduino or Raspberry Pi units.2. Laboratory parts kits should be available. This would include a multifunction breadboard kit and a complete selection of all of the parts (resistors, capacitors, chips, LEDs etc) to allow you to conduct the experiments. I am an experienced engineer and it took me three full days to track down all of the parts for the lab manual; someone just starting out would have a very difficult time figuring out where to begin finding the parts.

Great purchase, use for school.

This is the key to learning this subject. You need this lab book if you want to succesfully learn digital circuitry. I haven't used any other lab book so I can't compare it, but if you do want to learn this subject, you need the hands on part (which is this lab book).I recommend it. It helped me out alot, but you really need a teacher for this.Advisory: There were some errors in this lab book. That's another reason teachers are really useful.

Used these in school. A good beginner book.

The book is missing 10 pages. I had to take incompletes on three labs. Kind of sucked.

I bought this book used and be careful what you are purchasing. You pay what you get.The book I have (starting with cons) already have written stuff on it. Can't erase it because its written in pen. Not sure if i'm going to have missing pages (just got my book have no time to go over it) so beware. Also it's missing a cd that suppose to come with it.Pros: Good condition. no dirt or worn out pagesI recommend people to buy the new book that has the cd in it. If you are in a tight budget then I'll recommend the used book

We were pretty upset because this book was missing pages. As soon as we notified the seller of an issue they refunded our money. Way to stand behind your product. Very impressed.
