An Excellent Replacement For My Old Checkbook
As a quick aside, I wanted to say I received the following item via Amazon Locker which I have been using for many years now, and the service is outstanding. I just love the versatility of picking up most packages from Amazon on MY SCHEDULE, MY TIME and not having to wait around for a delivery person. So, that's just a quick plug and 5 STARS for Amazon thinking outside the box and offering this service (and useful for RETURNS, TOO!) Anyway, I wanted to replace my aging leather checkbook that I've had for maybe about 20+ years now (see pictured attached). While, it is still functional and not falling apart, but has some cracks in the spine, I still wanted a new one. I decided to get the Kattee after browsing and looking at about a dozen or so checkbooks on Amazon. The prerequisite for me was definitely something leather and a brownish color. I didn't anticipate the additional features these new checkbook wallets come with money pockets, a pocket with a zipper, ID card slot and credit / debit card slots which are pluses and icing on the cake. The feel and craftsmanship of the leather is feels and is quite nice (though I'm not an authority of leather grades and such), but there was some subtle scuff marks for light handling; not sure what that is about. I have no card in the photo ID slot and in one of the other pocket slots which are the right standard sizes which fits perfectly snug (not too tight or too loose). While I hardly ever write checks anymore, I do still balance my checkbook with the checkbook register associated with my online banking account so that was the greatest benefit of buying this product. Of course, besides the quality of the leather, I think the other MAJOR attribute is the STITCHING! Since, I just got the item today, the stitching looks fine and no loose threads and none of the pockets are coming loose... SO FAR! Hopefully, over time the grade of this leather and stitching will last. If anything changes in weeks or months form now with the quality of the checkbook from use, I will come back and update this review with my thoughts. For now, and at this point, a HIGHLY RECOMMEND product. UPDATE [11-12-2020]: If you're using a paper checkbook register to balance your checking account with this product, when you turn the page register up to write on the next side, you have to buffer it with a small rectangle carboard flyer or something buffered inbetween because the credit card sized pockets on the upper part of this wallet are not flat and it's hard to write. After all these months, I still LOVE this checkbook wallet!

Lots of card slots that are hold cards snug but easy to pull out
This is a very nice leather wallet. It has plenty of compartments for cash and cards. I really like all the card slots. They are very easy to pull out your cards, but are snug enough so they don't fall out. It is nice leather and seems to be good quality craftsmanship. I would definitely buy another one.

It's a pretty nice wallet, glad I got it and for this price.
It's a pretty good wallet! I got the long one (large/long), and I have to say it's rather nice - especially for the price. My one and only complaint is that this wallet is not as thin as I would like. I considered altering it, but it has a zipper pocket on the inside behind one of the cash pockets; I guess it's for change or keys? It makes the wallet a little thicker - I just partially open the zipper and that helps. This wallet (the long one I got) is not ideal for jeans or very tight fitting clothing, but is perfect in relaxed gaberdine style slacks or in the pocket of an overcoat. The leather is very "leathery," very strong leather/tanning smell comes off the leather and just as the page for this wallet says you need to let it air a bit or you'll smell like leather strongly for days as it airs in your pocket. It looks nice and you can tell that it will age really well - grandpa's wallet well. It feels solid in my hand and I believe it's plenty rugged for daily use. Fun Fact: "Crazy horse Leather is this style of leather finishing. Because of this as you use it it will gradually change back to it's natural color. Also called "Apache leather," it's pretty nice to the touch and over time. A manly and adult wallet. TL;DR: it's nice, a little thick, but very nice.

Excellent Quality and Function
This wallet replaced the long wallet I had bought from a flea market some ten years ago for the low low price of five whole dollars. That particular wallet was literally falling apart and getting my license in and out of the damned thing was nigh on impossible, as such I was more than happy to replace it with this one. The quality of this wallet is way above my last in a good many ways but I will just tell of the few that I like best. First it is nice and thick with a a great texture that, should this have ever been a problem for you, should keep it from ever slipping out of a front or back pocket. The thickness might take a bit of getting used to in the back pocket if that is where you keep it but the friction between fabric will keep it from working it's way out. I tend to keep it in the cargo pocket of my shorts and my old long wallet was always sliding out when I sat or stood and that has not happened even a little bit. Second there are a number of pockets for credit cards and what not with a layout that allows you to organize them in whatever creative way you may want to. I just kind of stick mine where I see empty space but for someone who reallys gets off on organization then you will not be disappointed. There is one large pocket under each fold also, one tight one under the top fold and a larger one behind the bottom. I usually keep cash in the bottom pocket but sometimes I get a little crazy and put receipts or something in there too while putting cash in the other. There is a zip pocket as well that I suppose is for change or dirty secrets but I just put change in there. Finally my favorite feature is the little open area in the window of the license pocket. This may seem trivial but you don't know how difficult it was to get my license out of my last wallet. It's not something that I have to do very often but it was so frustrating fighting to get it out. It's a simple cutout roughly the shape of a thumb and I have to wonder why the geniuses that made my last wallet hadn't thought of such a solution. There are many ways I could have fixed that problem but that is where the license was supposed to be. Anyway I will stop there. This is a great wallet with an excellent feel of quality. I got it right away because of Prime but I'm not sure how it was packaged because my wife and kids gave it to me for Father's Day. Regardless if you're looking for a really nice long wallet to replace a more traditionally folding wallet, tri-fold wallets are the worst, then you really cannot go wrong here. You can't go wrong with that gator either

Great quality at a low price
I bought a wallet similar to this at a country western store with a name brand on it for about $80. The difference in quality goes to this wallet. It is better leather and much more pliable and a whole lot less expensive. If you like this style of wallet you can't go wrong in my opinion. I was very pleasantly surprised 3 months later, I tip the scales about 300 pounds so a wallet gets a real workout with me. I like this wallet better all the time and if I didn't have a bad heart I would order another one. As it is I think this one will last me several years if I last several years. It has not stretched out and the credit cards are still snug. Money well spent on a great product. March 2016 When I first got this wallet the credit cards wore a little tight getting in and out of the pockets. They are still a little tight. The quality of this leather is amazing. This is a far better wallet than the Tony Lama I paid a whole lot more for. If you like this style of wallet you will not find anything better than the one they sent me. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Photos are after 6 months of use with 300 pounds sitting on it. After a year and a month I still love this wallet. Credit cards are still hard to get in and out. It has not stretched at all. I am still amazed at the quality of this wallet. It is way better than the Tony Lama that I paid 80 bucks for. Gotta say if you want a wallet like this don't hesitate. Once in a while you find something really great and this fits that description.

Good, but a little tight and some bleeding
I needed a new wallet after my old one had slots became loose enough that cards started falling out. I chose this one because it could hold more cards and some business cards. It's also one of only four breast pocket wallets that has a thumb slide for the ID (honestly, who creates a wallet without that when you have to take your ID out all of the time?). First, a few notes: * The dimensions listed on the product are wrong. It is not 7.6" inches long - it's 7.2" long. * On the left hand side I cannot store 5 credit cards + an ID - the slot right above the ID becomes too tight to get the credit card or ID out when everything is filled. To get over that I am not storing a card right in the pocket right above the ID - it's okay as there are enough slots for my needs. * On the right side, the cards are a tight fit, but surprisingly, once I got the cards in it was still easy to get them out. It's best to think of them as snug card holders. However, my business cards are 3.5" in width - they will not fit on the right hand side. Credit cards are 3.4" in length so they do fit fine. That's fine - I'm storing the business cards on the left side. * The openings for the money and notes on the left hand side work well - easy to access, easy to put things in and get them out. * The opening on the right is a bit wider and has a zipper compartment. I believe it can fit a checkbook easily but I don't carry one anymore A couple of folks have noted that the finish bleeds onto business cards. I've had the wallet for two days with business cards in them. The image shows the back of the rear-most business card. The leather finish does bleed onto the card. I have the same problem with the front-most business card. There has been no bleeding onto the credit cards because of the difference in material. I was storing receipts in the pockets behind the credit cards and there was no bleeding on them or the cash I am storing there. I'm hoping that the bleeding stops and if it does in a few days I'll come back and add a star. I have not noticed any smells as some folks have noted. In addition, the stitching appears to be top quality. I'll update this review if anything starts coming undone. I hope this helps others make a decision.

Excelente producto

Not Worth the Money – Poor Durability and Construction
I am very disappointed with this wallet. At first, it looked good and felt decent, but within just 3 months of normal use, the zipper pocket started tearing off. When I inspected it closely, I realized that the zipper pocket was only glued in place rather than properly stitched. For a product marketed as genuine leather and sold at this price point, I expected much better durability and craftsmanship. The quality does not justify the cost, and it is definitely not worth the money. Overall, I am not satisfied with this purchase and would not recommend it.
