The fan keeps turning off, how disable the timer?

Remove battery from remote control for couple minutes,this will reset it.

why do it shows to different remotes in the pictures?

I bought two different kits, One is for a Fan with, setting for fan speeds and for light control ( on-off) and dimmer function. And other one for a different brand ,this other kit has a remote that controls the fan speeds and lights ( on-off ) without dimmer function, but instead it can be set to automatically turn off at different time settings, The size of the receiver is the same than the first one with a slightly different shape,the remotes are pretty much the same size in both kits. Just make sure to order the kit ( receiver and remote), the pictures show also only the remotes if this what you need only . And what kit you prefer either one wit dimmer control on the lights or one with off timer which is a few dollars cheaper,
