Why does it say that the product can no longer be updated? Is that google? Or hardware? Right out of the box is said this.

The older google hardware will no longer support new versions of google chrome, the same way that older phones don't accept the latest software.

Does this support virtualization? can i run linux on it with kvm?

Mo, I don't believe so, although I haven't tried either.
