Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron [Blu-ray]

Good movie.

Great movie old school vibes. Great for children.

My son watch this movie as a child a lot is a good movie with Brian Adam’s as the singer and is emotional, mental and spiritual movie. Love it is a good movie if you love or like horses my son loves horses and this one was his favorite movie even now he is 14 and still wants to see it again. So I got it as a Xmas present for holiday for him.

My granddaughters loved this movie when they were little. Now that they both have their own toddlers they both want the movie for their kids. So, I bought this so they could both have the movie from great grandma.

A thrilling adventure with great songs

Spirit may not have been the box office success that the Lion King was, but it gives it a run for its money in terms of music and story. In fact the music composer for both films is indeed Hans Zimmer. And as usual he does a fantastic job. The songs by Bryan Adams are also great and really go well with the story. The real magic of this movie is the fact that the horses are not as anthropomorphic (meaning they don't talk or sing). Their neighs and whines and facial expressions are enough to create their own dialogue in a way that you don't need words to know what they are saying. If Disney had made this movie, the film would be ruined. Overall this is a really beautiful movie and is extremely underrated. The story is timeless and the soundtrack is fantastic. For me its in my top three with the Lion King and Finding Nemo. This is a must own.

Es una clásico que me recuerda a mi infancia, una joya de la era dorada de Dreamworks.

WOW is the first word that comes to mind when i think of this film! It's the full package. Beautiful animations on painted scenic backgrounds; a heart-warming story of freedom, friendship and determination; and an amazing soundtrack to tell the story. This film is for people of all ages. Children will marvel at the horses, the storyline and the radiant character of Spirit (as will many of the adults), while the adults can also appreciate the whole new level of animated films. The first best move in this movie is this- the animals don't talk. The only speech in the whole film is that of the internal voice of Spirit the Stallion (acting as narrator, not speech) and from human characters. Other than that, the story is told through the soundtrack and the movements and expressions of the characters. This lack of speech bring a sense of realism to the film and moves away from children's animated films. It also brings me to my next point. The soundtrack. The movie would be nothing without it. As I've said, it tells the story, acting as Spirit's voice, conveying his inner emotions. Bryan Adams' beautiful lyrics are filled with emotion and the melodies are beautiful, as are Hans Zimmer's instrumental melodies. This film's soundtrack is the best i've ever come across, perhaps because it plays such a vital role in making the movie the masterpiece it is. I could go on all day. Without a doubt one of my favourite movies of all time and, as i said, perfect for the whole family.
