My family goes crazy for the taste of this Greek soup. This Greek pasta resembles pastina but is made from goat's milk. If you want to try something different, try looking up a recipe for Trahana Soup. The other ingredients needed are chicken stock, crumbled feta cheese, and butter. I make this for my family often and they request it even more frequently than I get around to making it for them. You know the saying try it you'll like it, I'm betting this will be like that for you.

The product seems great even though it's my first time purchasing Trahana so I'm still experimenting with recipes and methods. I did NOT like the packaging. While it looks attractive there is no easy way to open it and the plastic bag is the brittle type of plastic that tears in a non-uniform manner. I ended up spilling some as the package tore and had to repackage it in a large zip lock bag.

Mu husband is Greek and he was missing his Trahana. He loved it

As someone who grew up eating this stuff, I can tell you this is product is total garbage. It is stale and had no flavor whatsoever. It also took forever to boil and never fully dissolved as traditional Trahana should.

I didn’t know what trahana was but came across a recipe that sounded good. I bought the handmade version because invariably anything hand made is more thoughtfully made than something machine made. It is delicious. The recipe was like a mushroom risotto. I intend to try it in a traditional soup when the weather is cooler. The only downside is that there don’t seem to be many different kinds of recipes in which you can use it. I’m going to experiment and see if I can invent some because I like the trahana so much.
