Pearl Mantels 530-48 Monticello Fireplace Mantel Surround with Medium Density Fiberboard, White, 48-Inch

Very nice design but a few pros/cons here that I'd like to point out:PROS:- Good packaging & shipping- On time delivery, actually earlier than I would expect- Nice design & paint colorCONS:- Paint quality is bad, cracks appear at some joints- The back of one leg not flushed with the top shelf. I had to cover the 1/4" gap to the wall with caulking. Bad quality!- Need to provide more screws or glue for detail decoration pieces.I'm happy with the design but not too happy with the overall quality!

This mantel way exceeded our expectations in quality and style - and it was the lowest priced mantel we could find. Everyone that sees it comments on how nice it looks. We chose to have a contractor install it because it needed to be installed at the same time as the custom tile insert and tile base that we had added. However, it looked pretty easy to assemble and install if you are the handy-type. It was delivered quickly - ahead of schedule - but they kept me updated, so I knew when to expect the package. It needs to be painted, but it looks really great right out of the box with just the white primer.

I wanted a fireplace mantel for so long but everywhere I looked they were super expensive until I found this Mantel on Amazon.. I was nervous to order through the internet but based off the reviews I took my chances. I was scared that it would be to good to be true, but I must say it is amazingly beautiful.. The Mantel looks like we spend thousands on it... It was easy to install, affordable and beautiful. You can't ask for more... Especially for this price... I would highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed. So happy with my purchase :-)

My mantel was late being delivered and I noted this on my review. I immediately was contacted by a representative and from then on the problem was being worked on. Not only was I kept informed of the progress, I felt that every effort was being made to satisfy me. After making arrangements for a new delivery date, I was credited for the total amount I paid for the item. My mantel was delivered as promised and I will certainly use Amazon.com in the future, knowing that they really care about their customers.

It was easy to put together. I gave 3 stars because there were few scratches and little damage on back. I just installed it anyway because too much work to return it. I think this should be packed in two boxes to keep the product safe.

Sadly, I was unable to use the product because it was damaged during shipping. I did get to look at it and it was nicely made and of great quality. I would still rate it with 5 stars because it was definitely the shipping company's fault since my son and I both witnessed the deliveryman drop the box on its side. It is just too bad that I couldn't have been shipped UPS instead of freight.

We are very impressed with the quality of this mantel... Especially for the price! Looks like something you would easily pay over $1000 for. The first one we ordered was damaged in shipping. Sent UPS. The manufacturer was very responsive to get it picked up and a full refund. We ordered a replacement and this one was sent by a different shipping company with no problems. We love it!!!

Totally transforms our living room, taking a drab looking fireplace into a regal centerpiece. Easy to install and deceptively gorgeous!
