No need!
It looked fancy and usefull and cute so I bought. But this is not required to make your baby sit. Just give a pillow support and let your baby sit at its time. This does not helped my child. He started sitting without its help.

Not as expected
This is a very unstable sofa. Even if a baby moves little bit it just goes bent and baby may fall
