I have 3- Fur babies over 50 pounds I needed to keep them in the garage area- and out of the House I use the gate as a boundary works greatly

Very shoddy construction. 4 days after the installation, the pins holding the slats together began popping out due to the gate having a tremendous warp in it. With the hinge side flat against the door frame and the gate extended, the top would rest against the frame while the bottom pulled away from the wall 7 inches. The strength of the warping in the gate also bent the catch hook at the bottom. Have since replaced it with a much higher quality expandable gate from Chewy. Would give this gate 0 stars if possible as it didn’t even survive a full week of light use.

Easy to install is exactly what it says. It is in fact I’m going to get another one because it is not boxer proof during a thunderstorm.

Took me a while to put it on the wall because I'm just lazy. But after a few months one of the screws came out so one of the pieces on top is dangling. Luckily my dog doesn't push through gates so it doesn't take away from its use. I did expect it to stay together longer though

The Hoomall Retractable Dog Gate has been a useful addition to our home for keeping our dog confined to the hallway during the day. While it gets the job done, there are some notable drawbacks that prevent it from being a perfect solution. Installation was straightforward, but the hooks provided do not stay securely in drywall, which may require additional effort or alternative mounting solutions. The build quality is fair, though the gate itself feels a bit “wonky” and doesn’t extend straight across—it leans slightly, which detracts from its overall appearance. Despite this, it effectively keeps our dog in place and is easy enough for the kids to open and close, which is a big plus for daily usability. While it’s not made of cheap plastic, the quality could be better to improve sturdiness and alignment. Overall, it’s a functional product but falls short in execution. For the price, it works as intended but leaves room for improvement. I’d rate it three stars.

Easy to install and delivered very quickly. I would recommend this for dogs that don't challenge gates or stand up, leaning on them.

I bought 2 of these from 2 different sellers. They were both the same product. These are junk. Made of bamboo and they warp. When expanded they are out about 4 inches. This sort of defeats the purpose of a gate. The hinges are cheap and supplied with 3/8" long screws, basically jewelry box hardware. Not suitable for a gate. I have had one of these style of gates elsewhere in the house for over 20 years. It's made of wood and has a pivoting style of hinge. It still works great. Unfortunately, I can't find a well built one like this classic anywhere. This gate if only good for a visual deterrent. If any pressure was applied to it the screws will rip out or the hinges will break. Bamboo may be "sustainable" but if the product goes straight into the trash it sort of defeats the purpose.

This works perfect! Came with all the hardware needed to install so that the gate can be totally out of the way. Covers the doorway when in use. I like it so much better than the type that provides a gate within the doorway! Keeps the Labradors out of the kitchen when needed.
