Are the batteries replaceble?

The TAT-5000 uses a 9-volt battery and can be replaced. The battery life is good for 15,000 readings.

With the exergen tat-5000s thermometer, do you need to subtract 0.8?

I do not. Mine match’s with the Cancer Center in Lubbock, Tx and Clovis, NM

Exergen Lifetime Warranty If Repair is Needed, follow these steps: Contact Exergen at (617) 923-9900 for a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) Number. Mark the RMA number on the outside of your package and packing slips. Include a description of the fault if possible.
