I am in the process of reading this book now, and it seems quite good, but I wanted to get this piece of info out there to others. Another review indicated the CME has expired. This person was referring to a prior edition. For the third edition (and I have confirmed this by email with the Foundation for Osteoporosis and Education in Oakland, CA)30 hrs. of CME is available until Sept. 1, 2012.

Very Boring. Would like some bullit points or an out line to simplify the outragous amount of test in this book. Wass going to use it for the bone densiometer test but it is just Too much.

It certainly has all the information we need. It is VERY DRY, but maybe there just isn't a way to make this exciting.

Excellent overview of densitometry. If you read DXAs as part of your practice, you need to get this book. can't tell you how many scans I need to repeat because of poor quality scans from outside facilities.

Mostly obsolete or impractical information, much of it arcane,. Only bought it because it was required for ISCD recertification. Do not bother buying it.

I have just begun the process of the review to obtain the 15 CME. The book I ordered was the 2nd Edition and the review is the 3rd Edition! Frustrating trying to figure out the answers when the material is SO different.

This is a brilliant reference book and is particularly useful if you are learning about DEXA scanning and bone densotometry. The book is well written and is a useful aid for learning.
