UPDATE: changing from 1 🌟 to 5. They responded quick & within 2 days had a new set. They are beautiful & well made. Now I will order the teapot & dessert plates. I am disappointed. There were supposed to be 4 different styles/colors of tea cup & saucers, but I only got 2 different styles. Three of one color & 1 of another. Each piece was separately packed inside the delivery box, however each package has been opened. One set has been used & is dirty. I purchased as a gift; I just hope I can return it & get a full refund.

I'm not quite sure what the other reviewers were referring to about "roughness" having to be sanded down - perhaps the manufacturer corrected this, because I find these to be of similar quality to what I would find at a department store. They are lovely! They are intact because they were exceedingly well packaged, even coming in a chintz box with a ribbon on it - so it was a bit like unwrapping a present. (But inside each cup was in its own little padded cardboard box and the four saucers were in one box with separators.) . They will be perfect for the Valentine tea I'm hosting and can't wait to use them!

Picked these up for a Birthday tea party. Good quality, sturdy, and the variation in pattern allows you to mix and match with others. I had similar cups/saucers that I purchased 10 years ago and the blended together perfectly.

Edit: When I bought these in 2018 they were $25. TWENTY FIVE. NOT EIGHTY. They're not worth eighty dollars. Original: They are gorgeous! Don't feel overly delicate (it is porcelain of course), perfect size for tea, not tiny like most at this price level. No chips or cracks. Gift box was beautiful, boxes inside are sturdy enough that you can use it to store them over and over. Carefully packaged inside and out. VERY pleased with purchase. Note, since false reviews are so prevalent - I was NOT paid or compensated in any way for this review. Just so pleased!

These are super cute, definitely worth the 35-40 they cost. There are some noticeable flaws in one teacup set - looks like a lot of lint or fibers were on the saucer prior to glazing/firing - I tried to get photos of it. The matching teacup has marks on the inside - they look like scuff marks, but it's actually where the porcelain (or whatever material this is) didn't cover completely. They ALL (cups & saucers) feel a little rough, not smooth. I'm serious hoping these are appropriate for actual food/drink use as advertised. Again, not the best quality... but I didn't want to spend 35.00 on one teacup and saucer, so I'm getting what I paid for and am happy with my purchase.

I'm very happy my tea cups and saucers arrived in perfect condition, and they are just so pretty. Love the gold trim. The floral prints on the cups are good quality. Packaging was decent. The floral gift box came in a shipping box, and inside the gift box, the saucers and teacups are packaged in individual cardboard boxes. Although the saucers didn't have additional padding around them, it's ok as long as the delivery person doesn't drop these or handle the package too roughly. Planning to use these as succulent planters to gift to friends who are hosting a traditional tea time party :) Would not use these to drink out of due to the prop 65 warning, but as decorative items, these are excellent.

These tea cups and saucers are so cute! They look just like the pictures and are a good size! I used my tea cups to make tea cup candles. The cups did a great job with the heat from the hot wax. The candles turned out so good and the floral print on the cups and saucer made them that much cuter! I gave them as presents for mother's day and everyone who received one loved it!

Very happy with the product, looks even nicer in person. I was worried about anything arriving chipped or broken because I chose the "no gift" box option, however, the set came in a floral box with smaller cardboard boxes inside that protected each cup and saucer. I was expecting a flimsier material but the saucers are quite sturdy and the cups and prints are so beautiful! :)
