Simple guidance , more or less like sharing experiences, is easy to understand. A lot of the illustrated pictures are used in this book, which I find quite helpful.

The book is beautiful, and as a watercolour beginner, has taught me a lot about mixing colours and of course about painting flowers.

Easy to understand for beginners. The book teaches the basic techniques to obtain different shades of colours and effects.

Just feels the book is “ over- large “ which doesn’t aid repetition - an introductory page that just teaches how much paint to put on. Otherwise it is impossible to perfect the “ water- colour “ effect . It’s a case of “ Less Is More “.

A great gift or purchase for any one who enjoys painting and art. This book shows you the techniques for painting and creating different flowers. Do not buy it if you dont have watercolours or watercolour paper at hand. If buying it as a gift, be sure to include the paper and paints too

Beautiful and simple instructions on how to paint watercolour flowers, the basic techniques, a plant directory and floral compositions that you can follow with large clear photos. Shipping took over a week which is standard and was able to track. Recommend if a beginner to watercolour painting.

This book is just perfect! I'm not sure why people are complaining that it doesn't teach you to paint photorealistic flowers. That's not its purpose. My main "craft" is lettering but I was wishing I could add better artistic details. I don't want to spend far more time painting than lettering; I'm just looking for patterns that clearly convey what they are (a rose; a carnation; a leaf; a seed pod) without needing to be too realistic or accurate. Expert watercolorers may want to look elsewhere, but if you're new to the hobby or not looking to do anything too high-level, this book is perfect for you! I also appreciate the basic "intro to watercolor" at the beginning with helpful exercises on dilution, blending, different brush techniques, and so on. Highly recommended!
