Review: Very fine mesh, wide range of uses - Huge Opening - Holds a wide range of media types. Finer mesh than some bags that came with my activated carbon. I've done a few swap-outs and the bags hold up well. I swap out the bags each time so I can let the used one soak and dry. The opening is much bigger than other bags I've used, so I don't have to use a mini-scoop. I don't see a reason to purchase anymore bags for a long time. Well worth the purchase, even just for convenience of being able to just pour in media freely from jugs. Review: You can make em work, but maybe not the best choice. - These bags aren't exactly amazing, but they do work. I ended up pulling the cotton strings out and replacing with thick monofilament fishing line (the kind you use for 300lbs+ marlin). I noticed the seams on the bottom of one were coming undone, so I just sealed the crap out of em with beads of silicone. Overall - Eh, I wasn't expecting something incredible from a cheap set of bags. I do think that a pair of pantyhose or something would work better though. I've yet to see any commercially made media bags that I'm happy with, even the expensive stuff from brand names like Seachem.

Like em
Work fine. I even used one for a filtersock. You can put over return to tank for when you restart it to catch debris from return line. Then remove and wash for next time

Good purchase
Just built a 45 Gallon trickle sump. I use Depepe media bags in it. They work for me.
