Tao of Health, Longevity, and Immortality: The Teachings of Immortals Chung and Lu

This book is a translation of an ancient taoist alchemical text called Chung Lu Chuan Tao Chi. The book goes into great detail about the alchemical process. If you aren't familiar with Taoist alchemy this book would be rather pointless. Its not just some old wisdom for health and longevity. It's not for the average individual. Eva Wong's other books Harmonizing Yin and Yang and Holding Yin Embracing Yang are classic texts of the alchemical process. This book just further elaborates those. If you are serious about alchemical transformations and have the other books mentioned, this will just add to it. This book by itself would be rather useless without further research and without Eva's other books. She has done wonderful work translating these ancient texts and I'm so thankful she has done the work. But this really isn't for the uninitiated. In the past these teachings were guarded and taught in monasteries to the adherent. So it may be misleading for those looking for practical methods to improve health and longevity.

I am still reading...taking my time to absorb it. The author of this book is the Real McCoy. She is a scholar.I am not but I am a learner and I try to be patient with myself as I read her substantial material in her amazing books!
