The Bavooa R.E.M Spring Facial Hair Remover is an absolute game changer when it comes to facial hair removal. I'm not going to lie - this thing hurt the first time I used it, BUT it also made me realize how ineffective my waxing kit was. This little spring gets every hair on your face - even the near invisible tiny ones - and effectively pulls them out. The instructions weren't terribly clear, there are many online tutorials which show to use the spring correctly. To use, you're pretty much rotating the two pegs at the end of the spring while light grazing the spring on the surface of your face. The springs catch hairs very effectively, and after a few uses, I found that the pain really isn't all that bad. I didn't have any issues with red skin, bleeding, or pain after the hair was pulled out, and like most hair epilating tools, it gets more bearable the more times you use it. For those who have gotten their mustaches threaded, its about the same pain level, except not quite as shocking as you're doing it yourself. To clean, simply wipe the spring with a clean cloth and some alcohol and it's ready to go for the next use. At $20, it's definitely worth the cost, given that I don't need to look in a mirror while removing the hair, it doesn't require any charging or electricity to power, and it just works. This is a gadget that I would definitely purchase again once it wears out and will be recommending to anyone who wants to get threading results without having to leave their couch. One final thing to note - its recommended against using this on your brows because you might tear an eyelash out. If you have really steady hands and a good gauge of your face, you probably can try, but watch out for your eyelashes because there's no do-overs should you catch those hairs in there.

This thing worked wonders for me. About 5 years ago, after getting a terribly upclose picture taken, I was absolutely horrified to see that I had a beard! I have a lot of fine and light colored hair on my jawline, but it's longer than most women's. It's not terribly noticeable (I didn't think) except for in direct sunlight and at certain angles. But it has made me very self-conscious for years. I would always try to keep my hair down to cover the sides of my face. I never did anything about it because I feared that it would grow back thicker and darker. I use Sally Hansen hair remover for my upper lip once a week but using it for my whole face would have been expensive, time consuming and annoying, plus that stuff has an unpleasant smell. I didn't want to remove all of the hair on my face, as after doing my upper lip, when I sweat it seems to bead because there is no hair to catch it. Plus I thought it would look weird to be completly hairless. I am getting married in 6 weeks and have been absolutely dreading the upclose outdoor pictures-our venue is a community park and getting pictures at dusk will be unavoidable. I still wasn't planning on doing anything about it because I didn't want to make a lifelong committment to whole-face hair removal-only planning on making a lifelong committment to the man I'm marrying! A couple of weeks ago I saw some infomerical (can't recall the product, maybe NoNo), so I went online to look at reviews and that led me to read up on an assortment of products. I came across some at home machines that were awfully expensive ($400+ refills) and weren't supposed to be used on the face (although that wouldn't have stopped me). I have also researched electrolosis but found out that I wouldn't be a good candidate because my hair is light. Eventually I stumbled onto this product and I poured over the reviews and ordered that day. I was so excited for it to come that I ripped it out of the box. I went to work with a 2x mirror in a well lit room. It did hurt-like others have said, it's comprable to tweezing (I think it might hurt a little less). Tears welled up in my eyes a couple of times but it wasn't like I was about to scream out in pain. I tried to do my moustache but since I used the hair remover cream less than a week ago I don't think it was long enough to pull out. It took me a little bit of trial and error to get this to grab and remove hair but I knew not to give up. After doing my whole face, it was red (like when I pluck my eyebrows) but I put some moisturizer on and went to bed and woke up with smooth silkly, normal skin. It does look a little dry though, I probably should have reapplied the moisturizer in the AM. I love that I can do this in the convenience of my home. I will try to give an update as to how often I have to use this product to maintain my face as it is now-not completely hairless, there are VERY short fine hairs remaining, you know like most normal people! I plan to do it twice a week. This is the cheapest, easiest, most ingenious product for facial hair removal I've seen! I keep looking at my face in mirrors from the angles I used to dread and it makes me so happy. While I can't say I'm looking forward to getting a bunch of pictures taken of me, it's no longer because of my facial hair! I can't wait to tell all of my female friends and family members about this!! And thanks to everyone else who left reviews, you made me try this product and I am so grateful that I did! I am not big on reviewing, but I felt I had to add my story since I got a lot out of everyone else's. For other women with my type of facial hair, I can't urge you enough to try this product. At $13, what's there to lose?? Update: I used this for the second time about a week after the first try. It was not nearly as painful, I didn't even bat an eye-probably because you are pulling much less hair. It is tough to do your chin, I'm still trying to figure out the most efficient angles, etc. I don't think I'll have to use this more than once a week for maintenance, which is awesome! Oh, and it did end up making me break out on my jaw line by my ears. But they weren't pimples, just bumps and they went a way within a couple of days.

I really like this product. It is simple to use, easy to carry, and does a good job removing facial hair without chemicals or waxing. I use it mostly on my upper lip and chin and it works quickly. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes it does not pull the hair out from the roots, but overall it still gets the job done. A good and affordable tool to have on hand.

I've been shaving my chin and neck (under the chin, not the whole neck) for close to 30 years. I hate it because I don't like waking up w/stubble, especially if I'm visiting someone or have my own visitors who see me before I shower. I saw this online after searching for a solution and decided to try it due to the good reviews. It's a simple piece of equipment and I could see just by looking at it how it works and for $20 def worth a try. So. The first night I received it I gave it a go and THOUGHT it was working. I told my daughter it felt like little static shocks, no big deal. I sat in front of the mirror for about an hour using it, realizing at the end of that hour I really was just learning HOW to use it and OMG, when I was using it correctly boy did it hurt! Especially on the chin, for those thick and plentiful hairs that I've been keeping shaved for 30 years. However since I had started this torturous procedure I was committed and kept going. After about 40 minutes of getting hairs I stopped, realizing that by no means was I done. After about 10 minutes in the process of painfulness the pain subsided, or rather my chin was just super numb by that time. The next night, now having a good idea of how this device worked, I took another shot. Once you get the hang of it, and it does take a while, it works well (in that it grabs a multitude of hair at the same time). Again pain until numb. About an hour later I stopped, realizing that I got SO many more hairs but not all of them. Yikes. The next day I finished up and boy oh boy was my chin/neck smooth. The third day of pulling wasn't as painful and I'm not sure if my chin was just used to it or more than likely, the stubborn/hard to pull hairs were gone so the hairs that were left were easier to pull? I did notice that some hairs don't come out the first time they get pulled, and I would have to go over the same spot over and over, finally pulling the entirety of the hair out, so for me it wasn't a quick answer nor was it painless, however I woke up this morning with NO stubble. I sent a photo of the contraption to my sister and she replied that she's been using an epilator (electric one) for years which sounds a LOT easier. BUT, since i've been through the initial pain and my chin/neck is hair free i'm going to keep it up w/this spring and see how it goes. 4 stars, taking one off for pain and the fact that rolling over and pulling (painfully) a hair doesn't actually always pull it out, so sometimes ONE hair can cause a multitude of pains. But it worked. UPDATE: I ended up returning this and buying a cordless epilator. What a difference. Didn’t realize how wonderful The cordless epilator! I feel silly for not trying it first and skipping is torture device. The epilator pulls out hairs completely, but works like a razor in that one swipe over your hairs and they’re pretty much gone.

I have a lot of trouble with hair removal from my upper lip. With tweezing, it takes me about an hour and it looks like I still get only about half of the hairs... waxing is really expensive to do consistently, but always gives me the best results. I've had absolutely terrible luck with home waxing kits as the wax sticks to my skin more than to the paper. I've tried nair for the face, but it still only gets about half the hair and sits on the skin for 10 minutes, which is quite a while. I should mention too that I have very sensitive/fair skin- my skin is practically white, but my hair is very black, which is a terrible combination for facial hair. I am always on the lookout for new things that I can use to help me with this problem that is financially reasonable and decently easy/time efficient. Reading the reviews for this, I was excited, but hesitant. Nevertheless, I figured for less than $15 it was worth a shot. I mean, I pay close to that just getting my face waxed at a salon. I am so glad I tried this product! I followed the advice of one reviewer to turn clockwise with the right hand and counterclockwise with the left. I started near the lip and moved up to the nose. I used different widths of the bend- sometimes I held the spring straighter and others I tried it completely in an upside down u-shape. The pain was totally manageable. My eyes watered a bit, but it was about the same as plucking and less than waxing pain-wise. It was exponentially faster than plucking and got rid of all the hairs on my upper lip! I think for that, the pain was well worth it. I assume as I use it more frequently, the pain will decrease. I was pretty thorough, getting every single hair, and it only took about 3 minutes total time- way less than plucking does (and got sooo many more hairs). I followed the directions to clean my face after use and apply moisturizer and I didn't have any problems with breaking out. My skin was red for a few minutes after use, but it was honestly red for less time than after plucking or waxing. My skin is pretty sensitive though too, and I know that, so I was surprised that it wasn't more irritated for longer. I did get this primarily for upper lip, but I do have a few hairs on my chin area, so I tried it there too. I only have a couple every now and again, so plucking is still easier for those I think, but this worked well there too- getting the angles right was more difficult, but it seemed to work well once I did. I'd also like to comment on the hairs- I tried an epilator before that was designed for the face, but I found that it just broke off the hairs at the skin and didn't really pull them out. I can see all the hairs in the spring sprong AND I can see the little ends that show they were really pulled out and not just broken at the skin! Perfect! I am sooo glad I gave this product a try, and I plan to continue to use it for a long time to come!

I bought this thing to use on my upper lip to get rid of the blonde peach fuzz that I just don't like having on my face. It's not really visible to other, but I don't like it so it has to go. I tried waxing it, but for some reason the wax makes that area swell and stay swollen for several days after. Which is odd since I get several areas of my body waxed every month with no swelling at all, just the lip area swells. Well a couple of months ago I saw something like this on Facebook. I don't really trust sellers on Facebook book since sometimes it's a scam, so I went to my trusty Amazon in search for the item here. That brand wasn't available, but several just like it were. I chose this brand because the reviews were mostly good. It wasn't a prime item, so it was weeks later before it arrived. I read the instructions and gave it a go. At first I couldn't get it to work, so I went to YouTube for help and realized the best way to get it to work was to play around with different techniques until I found one that was nowhere close to the instructions that came with it. It does actually work with little to no swelling involved. Unfortunately it hurts a lot, and this is coming from someone that lets an almost stranger rip the hair off of her lady parts with hot wax every month. I usually handle pain very well, but it time to remove the hair from my upper lip again and I haven't been able to make myself do it. If you've ever had your upper lip threaded then you'll know the pain I'm talking about. The results were great, so I'm thinking of trying some ice to numb the area and maybe some alcohol to help me handle the pain. Oh, for those thinking of using this on your eyebrows, I couldn't control it well enough to risk trying it there. I could just see myself accidentally ripping out half of my eyebrow while only wanting it get a few stray hairs.

I'm at the age where my hormones are changing. Unfortunately, they decided to do it during Covid... when I was wearing a mask everywhere. That's when I notice..... uh oh!!! .... I'm starting to raise a mustache! Not good at all! Thank goodness I was wearing a mask! But that came to an end and here I was with a very light-colored mustache. It was terrible! I was so embarrassed! So, I waxed it. Ouch! Not to mention that my face was red where I waxed it for a couple of days. Makeup didn't cover the redness. In fact, made my upper lip even more noticeable and people would ask what was wrong with my face. So embarrassing. It was better just to have this blonde mustache. I looked at lots of gadgets trying to figure out what would work best. I had used an electric epilator in the past on my legs and the results were terrible. I honestly didn't want to go through that again, especially with my face. I saw this little gadget and figured it wouldn't work. It was a spring. What was so special about it? I was just skeptical. More time passes. I was just miserable and decided to just be "hairy". Then, without much notice, I was invited someplace where I knew I'd see lots of people from my past. I couldn't bear the thought of the mustache. So I shaved it. I looked great! But two days later, stubble. Man stubble! Eeeek! I should have just left it alone in the first place. But I couldn't stand it anymore and refused to shave again. So back to looking at this gadget again. What the heck.... it was only $20 so I bought it. When I got it, of course, just like me, I didn't read the directions to see how to properly use it, I mean, how hard could it be? It was a simple spring. And it didn't work. Oh well. But then, I got an email the next day from the company thanking me for the purchase and they also told me to watch the video that was recommended with the product (which I didn't do). I did exactly what the email told me to do. It was so simple!!!! I felt stupid for not watching the video instructions. Within 5 minutes, the mustache was gone. I mean, even the tiniest little hairs. GONE!!! There was a little sting, but I was expecting that, it wasn't really that bad at all. The mustache hasn't returned, and neither has the stubble. I just use this little gadget for about a minute just in case, but there's nothing! All gone, root and all! I know it will slowly return but I'm not worried. BTW, there was no redness afterwords either. A brilliant little gadget, very easy to use. But I do highly recommend that you watch the video, especially if you are a skeptic.... like me. I see online that there are many types to choose from, most have some sort of plastic ends or handles, I'm not a big fan of plastic, but this one - I know - will hold up for a long time, its stainless steel, which I think it a big plus. It will not lose its shape or effectiveness. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is reading this. If I could give it more stars, I would. This has helped me regain much of my confidence when I have to go out into the real world. I'm not at all self-conscious anymore and I think I look pretty good again! My face is soft and smooth and hair free!

Astounding. I used this for the first time today and I have it down 85-90% but WOW. Ok so, I have very angry, sensitive, pale skin. And I have had facial hair (dark brown, coarse white, blonde leach fuzz) my entire life. I cannot use removal creams because I had a horrific reaction to them and most waxing is far too harsh, so I used to shave my face with a men’s 5 blade. As many of you know, shaving is great right away but it just causes more issues and those include breakouts, far too harsh of an exfoliation and dryness and the more you shave, the more you must shave. And I was sick of it. I don’t mind tweezing but it’s just so annoying. I AM SO GLAD I FOUND THIS. It’s just awesome. It got rid of probably 80% of my hairs (dark, thick white and fuzz) and I went in with a tweezer after and pulled the ones that were just starting to grow. I personally don’t mind using my hypoallergenic wax strips AND this tool to get the results I want. But I am sure this tool alone will be great. I am just so thankful because I was just so sick of shaving! And for me, IPL and electrolysis aren’t necessarily going to work permanently because of skin chemistry. This thing is just amazing. As far as pain, I have a good pain tolerance and didn’t think this was painful. It pinches and smarts but it’s not painful. I highly recommend this tool! It really is a game changer and I seriously never say that.

If you're the tl;dr type then to summarize: 1. This works. 2. I'm one of those who got a rash when I first used it. The problem was NOT the Spring - it turns out I react to rubbing alcohol. I've been using Hydrogen Peroxide to clean it instead and have had no more issues. I'm past middle age - so I guess I'm older (not old!). At this point in my life I could have a beautiful Van Dyke beard if I left the hair to grow on my face and chin. Cream depilatories have stopped working and tweezing is just a nightmare-sized job. To complicate things I also have a hand tremor so grabbing one little hair with tweezers is a true exercise in frustration. Even with my tremor I managed to clean my face, chin, and throat in one evening. In fact I've become a little obsessed and will use it while I watch TV just in case a tiny short newcomer has decided to pop up. I really wish this had been in my arsenal decades ago. It's brilliant and my skin is smoother (even with the wrinkles) than I had hoped for. Unlike tweezing you clean an area of your face rather than aiming for individual hairs. You can focus on one problem child if need be though. Also, unlike waxing you don't have to wait for the hair to be a certain length. This Spring can grab the shortest hairs in the most awkward places. If you're on the fence then I strongly recommend you try this. The Company provides lots of information (although you'll wind up finding the best approach for yourself) and it works. It really works. :)

This product has honestly changed my life. Due to a hormone imbalance for the last 8-10 years I have been shaving my facial hair once, twice sometimes 3 times a day. I have tried all sorts of treatments from privately paid for electrolysis, to NHS hospital laser treatment, light treatment not to mention various medications. This is not the normal pale soft moustache hair I am talking about coarse often dark stubble a male model would be proud of. Unless you experience this yourself you will never know how it feels for a woman to have to do this. I used to love my husband stroking my face but have spent years now squirming away from him if he did this first thing in the morning or if I wasn't sure if there had been any growth during the day I had not had chance to deal with. I would not go anywhere without a disposable razor including smuggling them onto long haul flights - seriously there are adolescent boys who'd kill for this facial hair growth. This product is far from painless (as alleged by someone with clearly no facial nerves) and takes some getting used to. I spent about 2 hours for the first couple of days fiddling with it when watching the TV in the evening but eventually rid myself of all the hair at different levels of growth. A week later I have not had to put a razor to my face and my skin is thanking me for it! Usage wise… It is like a mass plucking I guess and feels like lots of short sharp stings. You’ll find a way that suits you, your hair type and facial shape – don’t be afraid to use it in different shapes than the advised ‘inverted ‘u’ and roll it in different ways. I am still trying to brave using this on my upper lip (which is way more sensitive but which was never as bad as my chin and neck growth thankfully) but I am beginning to stop flinching every time my husband goes to touch my face – tough habit to break but it will be worth it! Thank you R.E.M. a million times more effective than treatments that have cost me hundreds more!
