I'm definitely impressed. Eric at StoneArtUSA is a true professional who demonstrates care about his art and compassion about the loss of our beloved family friend. Unlike so many other artisans I have dealt with in the past, the responsiveness was surprisingly quick, with the first e-mail contact from Eric received on the same day I sent in the order. Throughout the entire process, communication was never an issue. The artwork was excellent, with a good rendition of the photo I sent as an e-mail attachment. The laser-engraving of both the photo and a custom message I created was very good. Everything is custom-made to your order and you get proofs sent to you to review prior to the final engraving. The product itself is exactly as shown in Amazon's photos. The fit and finish are top-notch and the granite slab on top is nice and thick, contributing to an overall sense of a high-quality product. Eric's work is beautiful and he is so good about communicating with his customers. I would highly recommend his products. The stone is good quality and the likeness is extremely well done. The wood is very nice as well. The opening is on the bottom of the box and requires a screwdriver to open. There is nothing negative to say about the product or my experience.
