This is an excellent digital thermostat and one of the best around, according to our professional HVAC company. It works perfectly and is easy to use, as it is a basic thermostat without all the bells and whistles. We highly recommend this product and the Seller. 110% happy customer!!!

While the item works and replaced ours when I opened the outside pkg the inside thermostat box looked like it had gone thru a wind storm. The box was smashed and opened on both ends. Thank goodness the product wasn't damaged and worked but wow it had been thru something for sure when packaged.

Love the Emerson 1F85U-42NP Non-Programmable Thermometer. It's modern, clean, beautiful & covers everything you really need. I was smart & got the NON-programmable one this time. Why hassle with anything else? Why invite possible intrusions into your life with "Smart" thermostats & the hassle of setting those up? I tried "Smart" thermostats before & promptly returned them. I like the fact that it's NOT constantly lit up like all the "energy vampires" built into everything electric you buy. It illuminates to a soft blue when YOU want it to by hitting any button or touching the "illuminate" button on top. It's only been up a few days; all seems well. Only at the very beginning did it seem like the temp was a bit off, but it settled down in accuracy. If something changes in the future, I'll let you all know.

The best! , Nest thermostat do not have a hold function... you figure no big deal well, when a newborn is napping and your at home not moving around Nest will think that your are gone and go in away mode. Anyways this is such a simple, easy to use thermostat. Thank You Emerson

Easy installation only instructions of where the wire goes to switch to heat didn’t show you jump but easy to fix

It's a thermostat. If it works it works. If bought the WIFI version I would give it a more through review. But it is what it is. It works just fine, has no problems and does what it's expected to do. That means 5 stars. U der performing gets less and outstanding in some way gets more. It's just another thermostat that does it's job.

Bought this to install for my 88 year old Mother who struggles with technology and hated her NEST. This is perfect. It was easy to install (as you would expect), the display is bright, it’s a clean and simple design. There are only a couple of simple buttons, which is perfect. Temperature up or down, A/C or Heat of Off. Highly recommend.
