So far I have made three Moroccon inspired tangine recipes and they have come out delicious! Tangine arrived packed extremely well in a lot of foam wrap. This particular tangine is glazed, I went online and took care to season it before cooking in it (rub with olive oil, bake at 350 for 2 hours, let cool in oven). The top handle of the lid is solid which surprised me. There is a tiny steam vent hole in the side of the lid. Buy a heat diffuser to go with this for your stove! I have an electric glass top stove, have used a diffuser and no problems. It takes about 2 or 3 hours to fully cook a meal in this cookware but it is totally worth it. Meat is flavorful, juicy and falls apart, potatoes get a wonderful glaze from all the other food juices and broth. I also bought some rous el hanout seasoning for my tangine dishes, it is wonderful spice. Bought some za'atar seasoning too but yet to try that. I highly recommend this tangine!
