If you are going to give the gift of time keeping, give this one. the Casio W218 series is a good starter watch. Proven, trusted and time tested. Most importantly very cost effective. I got one of these each for my children. Kids these days hardly appreciate watches. I know when I received my first watch it was a red letter day. Casios are known for their battery life and the buttons are easy to press. Fair brightness with backlight and most important this is a school and activity watch. Functions dry and wet, though none of my children are doing Olympic diving or serving on a SEAL team (I joke). A great starter watch. Hard to beat twenty two dollars - plus or minus taxes.

Casio is a very popular brand of watches and an affordable one at that. I bought the Casio Illuminator Digital Sportswatch in light pink for both its aesthetic and its convenience. It cost me about $16 dollars and I use it nearly daily. I am sure I have only removed my watch before going to bed and when I shower, otherwise it is on my wrist ready to deliver me the time. The product itself fits around my wrist with ease as there are multiple points of adjustment. Unlike today's smartwatches, this serves one purpose: to tell me the time. I can respect that sort of goal. It also has a timer and alarm feature that works well with its format. I seldom use the timer feature but the alarm alerts me whenever the hour changes, which I find good. There's a setting to change to a 24hour clock, my preferred method of reading time. However, there are some issues with this watch in particular. Though these features may be implimented in different Casio models, I will only reference this particular watch. When setting up the time or the alarm, there is no option to go back in time if one were to, let's say, accidentally set an alarm one hour after their preferred time. One would have the click the button several more times to get back to where you started and god must hate you if you skip past it again in your haste. Another worth noting is that the button to change the hour/minutes is the same as the light button, meaning it flashes every time one presses down again. It is a mild grievance but one I do not enjoy. Speaking of the flash, it only lights for as long as you press it. It would've been better if it were a toggle with an internal timer to turn off after a couple of seconds or minutes rather than immediately turning off. However, these are mild things and I enjoy the product very much. I am sure that the features I have listed are not unique and are put into more expensive, high-end digital watches. For $16, it is a good, affordable watch that provides value to the consumer. I'd give it an A.

I had to get a non-smartwatch for a particular event and this one definitely fit the bill had a nice alarm on it I could light it up to look at it The only thing I did not like was the watch band. It has these funky ridges on the edges that literally grind your call at the bump on your wrist to make it easy. That part made it really uncomfortable. But for everything else it worked perfectly well.

Simple. Affordable. Tough. I really liked the orange strap. Casio watches are great. This is a basic model with a cool strap.

I love this watch, it is easy to set the time and very sturdy. It is light weight but also you can see the quality, great display and I love the color!

This watch has been a great buy for my kid. The price point is very reasonable, and it has held up well over more than a year of daily use. It’s simple in design and easy to wear, and once you figure out the settings, it’s straightforward to use. That said, it does take a little time to learn the different programs. My kid accidentally set a 1 a.m. alarm that went off every morning until we figured out how to shut it off. So parents may need to help walk through the functions with younger users at first. Overall, though, it’s a sturdy, good quality watch that’s perfect for a teen who wants something practical and reliable.

Casio are a well known and reliable watch brand and its no different here with this watch. Digital display with the time being displayed in either 12/24 hour format. You can toggle between 24 hour time format with just one press of the start/stop button. It is water resistant to 50 meters and features a silicone strap. The display also shows the day and date of the month, but not the year. It is easy to read and features a light if you need to read in the dark. Press the light button and hold it in for the light to display for longer. The all black colour is perfect and is a good size. The strap has plenty of wrist size options. The watch also features an alarm function and a stopwatch. The advertised battery life is seven years. Overall this is an excellent watch that is functional, comfortable and looks good. Five stars.

I suggest you avoid the olive color. Otherwise it's a very good casio.

A daily wear that would stand everyday wear and tear. At the same time it also has a semi formal look and can be worn at the office as well. The silver/metal watch in particular is a better alternative than the plastic/resin strap Casio watches. Because the resin strap watches tear after almost 7 to 8 months of usage when experiencing daily wear and tear. It puts strain on the parts where the strap locks in and that particular part of the strap starts cracking and eventually breaks off.
