Henna is super natural.. leaves your hair with softness. Indigo quite disappoints as doesn't get full colour even after waited for 3 hrs.

great Product
I have been using the product for two years and very much satisfied with the result but this pack which I bought recently I am not happy. After applying Indigo powder as per the instructions it doesn't turn the hair black. There must be some problem with the pack I received... so kindly send me the genuine combo this time. I have great faith in this product. Thank You.Dr N. Padmanabha Rao

Waste of money, do not purchase.
It doesn't work. My parents tried multiple times to turn their grey hair in black. It did nothing, not even a strand turned black. Waste of money and time. Do not purchase this product, all natural doing nothing.

Good product
I have seen a lot of people ranting about not getting the desired black colour. After trying the consistency for a couple of tries I have come up with perfect instructions1. As mentioned 3 parts indigo and 2 parts henna works fine but the timing as mentioned in the instruction manual is wrong. You have to let the mixture stay for atleast 3-4 hours to get the desired black colour. As much as hate the waiting period, the fact that the colour is natural is a comforting factor2. The mixture consistency should be a thick paste to get the roots coloured properly. When the consistency is thin then the roots doesn’t get coloured properly and the end result is that you have see some left over grey hairs3. Colour needs to be applied every 15 days to cover the newly grown grey hairsCons ( and solutions)1. The black colour starts fading to brown after a couple of washes. But the plus point is I dye my hair every 15 days so it really doesn’t bother me2. Due to presence of henna, the hair texture is very dry. I have tried to use various natural shampoo but the result is very dry hair. So I changed to my L’Oréal colour protection shampoo (light pink bottle). And also use conditioner (kumuda hair conditioner which is 100% natural). This way my hair texture is not dry at all. The end result is smooth and silky hair

Healthy hair coloring
This worked great! I just did a henna treatment last night. I boiled water then steeped 3 bags of black tea until hot/warm not boiling. I added my own vinegar from pickled beets I had marinating. I welcomed the red color from the beets over the orange color of henna. I then let sit for 5 hours. I washed my hair then left the henna in overnight with a shower cap on. It was runny and a big mess but that was me using too much tea/water I rinsed out in the morning with only water. I then mixed the indigo with bottled water and a pinch of salt. I used significantly less indigo than henna because I only wanted to darken the henna over my edges and in my bang with indigo. I put the indigo on as soon as I mixed it. I let it sit without a shower cap until it started turning blue/black then covered with a shower cap and left it in for 2 hours. The indigo did stain everything that it touched even the floor, walls, my nails not just towels. This is some strong color that bleach didn’t help. To my surprise with only 2 hours of the indigo use I washed it out using conditioner and I am happy with the color it took very well. Another popular brand of indigo gave me crippling migraines years ago so I skipped the indigo for years. This indigo I feel a small headache but that’s from broken sleep due to this being on overnight and running and a slight effect from the indigo which I felt going into my scalp since I must have some kind of sensitivity to indigo. But this one is not bad. I’m happy to have found this.
