I looked like Dr. Phil before
Y'all! I had the Dr. Phil special before I bought this. I'm a black woman who ripped her hair out several times over decades experimenting with different hair styles, bleaching, coloring my hair, shaving it off you name it. The final straw was extensions that literally ripped out a halo of hair around my head. I didn't think it was that bad, but it was bad. My husband saw my head, and I was like "it's not that bad is it?" He said "no it's bad" then he kissed my bald head. I looked like Dr. Phil's not too long lost brother. Nothing helped. I let my hair rest, I wore wigs, tried black castor oil...nothing. then I said screw it, I have nothing left to lose try rogaine. I started using it in Feb 2026, it is now June 2026 and my hair and hairline is fuller and thicker than the day I was born. All I do is use it every night before or after I shower. I just squirt it where I want it and semi roughly rub it in for 20-30secs thats it. This saved my life and confidence. I also never experienced the dreadful shedding of hair but maybe I did not have enough hair to shed lol. I don't care if I have to use it for the rest of my life, we have to brush our teeth for the rest of our lives and no one complains. I'll gladly rub this on my head after I brush my teeth if it means I don't have to look like the black Dr. Phil haha

Rogaine foam is an important component in my hair restoration (this is a long review)
I've used Women's Rogaine foam for the past 7 months as a part of my hair restoration treatment plan prescribed by medical and surgical hair restoration doctor. My hair began breaking off, thinning and stopped growing past about five inches long all over my head a few years ago when I was in my early 30s. My hair is color treated and I used to get Brazilian blow out keratin treatments to calm my curly hair. Although the breakage (aka chemical cut) was caused from too many harsh chemical treatments, my hair was not recovering and it was becoming finer, thinner and I had a lot of shedding. When I was in my early 20s, I was a hair model and had long, thick hair so something was definitely wrong with my hair! What caused my hair loss: My doctor determined that a combination of hereditary hair loss (the men in my family have minor hair loss, but it's enough to give me that gene), extreme stress from PTSD and a number of the top life stressors occurring, low iron from being vegetarian for 20+ years (there is an iron range that your hair needs to be in to not have "hair anemia" and most primary care and dermatologist docs won't recognize this), low B12, regular heat styling and changing my curls to straight hair, wearing hair extensions and having insomnia all contributed to the decline of my hair. My treatment plan: I began using Rogaine as a component of my hair restoration regimen along with wearing a LaserCap, eating red meat and shellfish that's high in iron (heme iron is absorbed more effectively than vegetarian non-heme iron), taking iron supplements, taking 200 mg of Spironolactone daily (previously at 100 mg daily when my hair was falling out), receiving B12 injections, resolving the life stressors and effectively managing my PTSD through DBT therapy, using shampoo that has zinc and continued taking all the normal vitamins including biotin and birth control. I removed my hair extensions and I occasionally wear clip in extensions on a night out, but it's not that often. Although my doctor advised not to color treat (I have a lot of premature white hair), heat style and change my hair from curly to straight, I still do, but I heat style only once a week and color every six weeks. My doctor advised me that it would take a year to see results since there's a lot of changes going on under the scalp and in my body. My results: I began seeing regrowth of new hair growth after a couple months and my existing growth became fuller after several months. My friends and hair stylist regularly mention how my hair is fuller now. Currently, I have a new round of hairs about 1" long that are growing in addition to the existing new growth that's continuing. I can't say the regrowth is solely from Rogaine, but I can tell the Rogaine works since I use it on my eyebrows and it's filled them in. The Rogaine unfortunately transfers to one side of my face from my pillow (I use it at night right before bed and I should apply it two hours before I go to bed to avoid the pillow product transfer) and now I have to get that side of my face threaded every so often, but at least it's working. I've posted photos which show some of the new growth, there is much more new hair than can be seen in the photos. My recommendation: I recommend seeing a hair restoration specialist doctor to understand the cause(s) of your hair loss. If that's not possible and you're losing your hair, try the Rogaine consistently for four months to see if it works for you, it's not a huge commitment.

Used for 5 months, then again after 4 months. Here’s my review.
Used for 5 months, then again after 4 months. Here’s my review. Used it for 5 months from February to July: I’m a woman at 31, with short to medium-length hair. Everyone wants to know if it works first, and the answer is YES! I started using this in February 2018 to grow some of my hair back. By March, I started noticing that my hair was growing out a little bit thicker. In April, I took a trip to Singapore and Japan, and continued to use this religiously every morning while I was there. Singapore was really hot and humid, by the way, so using this made me feel a bit heavy, but I had gotten used to it. By this time, my bald spot wasn’t apparent anymore. Having a head full of hair without any glares from the top of my skull made me feel more confident about myself. Promise delivered: My hair fell out a lot less in the shower, and like I said, my bald spots weren’t so visible and apparent anymore. In fact, I no longer noticed them. My roots became super thick as well, my baby hairs around my hairline were growing so beautifully and abundantly that I kept touching it. Another thing is that this product was a little like mouse or wax, so I actually didn’t have to use any other hair products while I was using Rogaine. Allergy to Rogaine developed – the consequences: By July, however, my scalp had started to itch. It itched so badly that I had to stop the Rogaine treatment altogether. This wasn’t due to the weather. I think I developed some kind of allergy to Rogaine because 4 months later in November, I tried to use it again and had the same exact itching reaction by the 2nd day! My head was itchy, the Rogaine came off with my skin in patches… You get the idea. So I can no longer use Rogaine ever again. And no, it had nothing to do with the specific bottle. I had been using the same bottle during the month of July when this allergy suddenly happened. So, I can no longer ever use Rogaine again! What happened after I stopped the Rogaine treatments: So did my hair fall out after I stopped using Rogaine? Well, actually… It didn’t fall out excessively like it used to before I used Rogaine. In fact, for the first month after stopping the Rogaine treatments, my hair stayed almost intact. Very little missing hair, no bald spot… My head and hair wasn’t reverting back to how it used to be, like others said it would when you stop using Rogaine. This stayed like this for an entire month. After a month, my hair did start falling out, but slowly. My hair remained thick. I think it has something to do with the Biotin shampoo I was using once in a while though. Anyways, 4 months later (in November) was when I actually started noticing my bald spot again. Yeah, I was surprised it took 4 months for my hair to fall out instead of immediately after I stopped using Rogaine. Maybe I had changes in my lifestyle? Gosh, I can’t imagine what changed though. I gained more weight I guess…? My biotin shampoo that I occasionally use? I don’t know… Conclusion: Rogaine works. For some, like me, it will work better than for others. However, I developed an allergy to this thing mid-way through it. I itched like crazy for 2 weeks before the inflammation went away. So, while I do recommend it, I just thought I’d let people know that the allergy symptoms are a possible side-effect. How to apply: I recommend looking on any Youtube videos, but basically: - Hair must be dry. - I filled the cap from the rogaine bottle 3/4th full. This is enough for my short to medium-length hair. Sometimes, if I need more, I squeeze about a 5th out into the cap at a time. - I use a fine tooth comb with a pointed end to split my hair. Using a comb that you don’t share with others is ideal for Rogaine so that the product doesn’t transfer to your regular brush. - Split your hair section by section as you apply with your finger little bit at a time. - When done, rinse the cap and the comb, then style your hair as usual. This gets easier and faster as you do it. It first took me 20 minutes each day, but then I got so quick at it that it only takes me 3-5 minutes.

A Combination That Works
I'm a woman in my late 40s and I'd lost ~1/2 the thickness of my hair gradually over the last 10yrs. I was losing a ball of hair the size of a quarter with every shower. It got to the point where I was only wearing my hair up and I could see my scalp from all angles. I finally tried doing something about it before accepting I'd need to start wearing a wig soon. I don't know which parts of my regimen are playing what role in it's success, but if I had to do it over, I'd probably start with Rogaine alone. The combination that's worked wonders for me is: Rogaine every other night, half the recommended dose of a biotin supplement daily, and Keranique shampoo, conditioner, and lift spray 3x per week. I always try halving things first, and most of the time find it works. I rinse the cap in cold water a few times and fill it ~1/3 full. I generally do this with dry hair an hour before bedtime, but occasionally do it to wet/towel dried hair in the morning. I start in the middle, then part my hair in 1 inch sections with a pointy ended fine toothed comb, working toward each ear. I quickly "paint" each part with a foam soaked Qtip. Then I massage it all in with my fingertips, brush it all in with a boars hair/metal tipped brush, toss the Qtip, rinse the cap, and wash my hands twice. With practice, this takes me 5min total. My hairfall never increased and it stopped completely in <1 month. I'm now 3.5 months in, ~1/2 the hair I'd lost is coming back in, and I can't see my scalp anymore anywhere! If I did this every day as instructed, it might all have come back. I'm thrilled with the results anyway, and hoping sharing this might help a few others. Update: I'm 9 months in, dropped the Biotin supplement months ago, and it's still working just as well. Also, I'm blindly painting 3 parts from the crown 1/2 way down the the back of my head. With the Keranique shampoo and conditioner, I'm using well under the size of a quarter of each, towel drying, then doing 4 squirts of the lift spray into my hand, rubbing my hands together, and pulling them through from roots to tips. It's working great and lasting me months. ~1/2 of my total lost hair has returned and stayed. Except for once when I missed 5 days, my hair fall returned for a few days, then stopped again after returning to my routine. I highly recommend both Rogaine and Keranique and just wish I'd started them sooner! With the having of everything, it's not nearly as time consuming or expensive as I expected it to be. For those fighting wrinkles as well as hair loss, I've tried quite a few things and had the best results with No. 7 products- after cleansing I'm using vitamin c toner every night, alternating nights serum and retinol, followed by damage reversal night and spf 25 day creams daily. I don't care for No. 7's cleanser though, I'm using Neutrogena age defying. If I'm going to get alot of sun, I absolutely love Misha sun milk, soft or waterproof.

Back to the liquid for me.
I’d wanted the women’s Rogaine available in foam like the men’s thinking it would eliminate the problem of it running down my forehead, the back of my neck, and behind my ear. So when they finally did offer it in foam I was very excited and anxious to try it. Oh well, nice try Rogaine people but back to liquid for me. The good news is, yes, foam does reduce the problem of it running but the bad news is it’s more difficult, at least in my case, to get the majority of the product actually onto the scalp. I have really thick hair (compared to the average person) except for one area near the front of my hair line where I was developing a bald spot. With the liquid Rogaine I could simply “part” my hair in that area and apply it with the dropper. It got right to the scalp and thus down to the roots and hair started growing in that area again. But sometimes some of it would run down my forehead or behind my ear. If I wasn’t careful to clean it up properly “peach fuzz” would start growing in those areas. So I thought the foam would be the answer but most of it actually ends up on my hair instead on my scalp. I try to work or massage it into my scalp but I’m pretty sure most of the product isn’t getting where it needs to go. I’ve come to the conclusion that the “sweet spot” for this product might actually be in a gel form. That way it won’t run like the liquid but will still get to the targeted area(s) properly and not spread out over the hair like the foam does. (Are you listening Rogaine people?) Until then I will return to the liquid just as soon as I use up this foam. I just hope my bald spot doesn’t try to return in the meantime. Pros: Doesn’t run like the liquid. “Dosage” is only once a day as oppose to the liquid which is twice a day. Cons: Harder to get to the targeted area. It still might run if the foam “deflates” before it’s had a chance to soak into the scalp. Doesn’t seem as effective as the liquid. Bottom line: Stick with the liquid until the Rogaine people figure out how to put this in a gel. I hope this review helps you and good luck.

WENT BALD IN TESTER SPOT. DO NOT BUY.
Like it even deserves one star. DO NOT BUY. WENT BALD IN ONE SPOT I TESTED. I am a beautician and have been doing hair for years. Due to a stroke I had and also having very fine hair I wanted to see if i could get my hair to get longer and thicker. So I bought a lot of this rogaine thinking it was going to do what it says. But it did the EXACT OPPOSITE. I was worried about this product and had a feeling to do a tester spot on the side of my head where my hair could still cover it, and THANKING THE LORD I did. I lost ALL of my hair. I REPEAT ALL OF MY HAIR I LOST ALL OF IT in that spot. It was bare like a babies bottom. Every women's worst nightmare especially a beauticians (because my hair helps my clients from coming in, you gotta look good obviously when it comes to doing hair for a living) I lost about 2 inches by 4 inches of hair. Thanking the lord for extensions. I am BEYOND bugged and completely devastated. I haven't slept for days thinking what if it spreads, luckily it hasn't so far. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IT SUCKS AND MAKES YOU FEEL WORSE AFTER USING IT. WANTING TO HELP EVERYONE ELSE OUT. The picture I am posting is about 2 months of growth after losing my hair. I was so insecure and had such bad anxiety that I couldn't get my self to do it when it was completely bare. And my daughter pushed me into posting this review to help you other women out.

Wish every person could have my results!
I have been meaning to write this review for a long time! I just passed my 1-year anniversary of using Rogaine 5% Foam faithfully and I never ever expected these kind of results. I'm just your typical woman who has aging and genetics working against her. I've always had fine hair (like mom) but plenty of it. That is, until about 5 years ago. My hair started thinning. I'd notice hairs in the shower and on my vanity. I tried every supplement - from embarrassingly expensive to quite affordable - and every topical solution available. It was a pretty depressing situation. So Rogaine was really my last shot. And I was very surprised and pleased when I found it was available in 5% solution rather than only 2%. Right off the bat, I didn't like the application process. The foam dissolved on my vanity top before I could even get it to my scalp. So I decided to part my hair and apply thin strips directly from the can... like I'm touching up my roots with hair color. There is a learning curve and the amount that comes out (and the speed) varies from can to can. I snapped a couple of quick photos on Day 1 but I really didn't expect it to work. The product is for the scalp (top) but my thinning was all-over and I figured I had nothing to lose by spreading the love to the sides of my head. After about a month, I noticed baby hairs at my hairline... like I was regrowing a widow's peak. And it occurred to me that I hadn't been seeing any hairs in the shower. At 3 months, I was so happy that if no other progress was made, I'd be totally okay with it. But it just kept getting better and better... on my scalp and my sides! At 6 months, I felt like my hair was better than it had been in decades. I had more of it and what I had felt fuller and stronger. At the 10 month mark, I went through a "shedding" process where I was losing a few hairs/day in the shower. I was freaked out at first but that eventually stopped and I still have this full head of hair. I apply it in the evening after I brush my teeth so it's quite routine now. It dries very quickly. I go through 4 cans in around 3 months. The photos (absolutely untouched) are Day 1 and my 6 Month anniversary... all with wet hair because you can really see my scalp and the full effect that Rogaine has had. And no side effects btw. I wish everyone as much success as I've had!

I’ve been using this product consistently for a while now, and I’m honestly really happy with the results. This is my second time purchasing it because I noticed a visible difference in my hair after using the first bottle. I was dealing with hair thinning and hair fall, especially while washing and brushing my hair, but after a few weeks of regular use, I started noticing less shedding and small new baby hairs growing around my hairline. My hair also looks healthier and fuller now compared to before. What I like most is that it’s very easy to apply and doesn’t leave my hair greasy or sticky. The unscented formula is also a big plus for me. I know hair growth products take time, so consistency is important, but this is one of the few products that actually worked for me, which is why I decided to repurchase it again. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone dealing with hair thinning or hair fall and looking for something effective and simple to use.

Hair shedding like crazy
Anyone suffered from a massive shedding the first month? I lost half of my hair and after I made deep research I found that it’s common side effect, it’s meant to fix a minor problem but now it turned to major one and I’m visiting g my dermatologist to find a solution for the impact of this product. Anyone?

Buy from the pharmacy much _safer and better
I bought Regaine for Women from Amazon, and later I purchased the same product from a pharmacy . I cannot say for sure whether the product I received from Amazon was original or not, but I did notice a very big difference between the two. The bottle I bought from Amazon had a problem with the dispenser. After the third use, the spray/foam pump was already damaged and I had to press very hard just to get anything out of the bottle. The foam also didn’t stay as foam and quickly turned into liquid after opening the bottle. In addition, I did not notice any improvement or even a slowdown in my hair loss while using the product I bought from Amazon. However, when I bought the men’s version from the pharmacy, I personally noticed much better results and improvement. My doctor also mentioned that there is no real need to specifically buy the “for women” version, and that the men’s version can work the same. My advice is that medical products like this are better purchased from trusted pharmacies, especially since it is not a cheap product. Because of this experience, I would recommend buying important products like this from a trusted pharmacy rather than online marketplaces, just to be safe.
