Did you use a special brush for applying and getting the flakes to loosen while applying this product?

Depending on your child's head condition, you could certainly use the product with a brush. We did use a toothbrush when we first got it to loosen the buildup. But then you likely can apply and massage with fingertips as you would any shampoo. It worked great on my son, there's no more dandruff at all!

Is it tear free? I can't find any info or read the label on the bottle

I asked my daughter and she says it does hurt when it goes into eyes. So basically not tear free.
