Does this really work ?

Yes but I gotta say, I was taught that it was due to the break in the earths magnetic field. You are not locating a certain pipe. You are simply picking up the trench where a utility has been buried and digging into the earth has broken the magnetic field in the earth. Just as an underground lake or an oilfield. My father found water wells and large oil fields. He would only use the fork of a cherry tree branch. This is what I have been taught and I have seen many people who didn’t believe. Become believers when he told them to dig a water well in a certain location. Ghosts, and gold ? I don’t believe in ghosts and I personally have not witnessed anyone locate gold...but I have read a lot of bullshiit about how they work or how they don’t. I locate utilities regularly and have seen them work most of the time..
