I was horrified at the cost of commercial boat covers so decided to make my own.Using a heavy plastic (builders sheet) to make a template, I assembled everything required (including a second hand sewing machine which I had no idea how to use).I chose this material because of cost and positive reviews. It arrived within a couple of days and I found it looked ideal for the job.The rest was a bit of a learning cliff, but the material sewed easily (very slowly on some of the x8 thicknesses) and the sewing machine did not break!I now have a great looking cover which fits almost perfectly. It has been in place on the boat since the beginning of winter and has held off rain, a bit of snow and high East coast winds. The eyelets and turnbuckles are as solid as day 1 and the material wipes clean despite the best efforts of the local seagulls. I will be buying more shortly for sail covers and a boom tent.Cannot recommend it highly enough! Thanks for great service Karen.
