Okay, yeah, it's very obviously plastic - which is why I ordered the purple one. If it's going to look fake, it might as well go all the way!! I love purple - for some reason, in my older years, I've gotten obsessed with purple. So I put it on my nightstand, as a simple decoration - and I have to admit that every morning, I LOVE seeing this strange little "plant" next to my bed!! It was a little squished by the packaging, but you can rearrange the branches with just a bit of pressure. My roomie thought it was horribly tacky - I think it's GLORIOUSLY tacky!! :-) If you know what you're getting, there's not much room for disappointment. No one would ever be fooled into thinking that this is a real bonsai, so if you want a realistic-looking plant, try something more expensive - but if you just want a cheap decoration that will make YOU happy, this is well worth the price!!

Very pretty bonsai tree. It does look fake up close so I'm glad I followed what one of the other reviewers said and got purple. Since it will look fake, so you might as well make sure its really cute. Mine sits on a taller shelf so it looks really pretty without it being so close that its so obviously fake. I really like it.

This little tree is very cute. It has a beautiful color to it and it is how it's described. The only fault I can see in the tree is that it is very light. So if using outdoors you may need to weigh it down.

Product was damaged upon arrival and looks cheap. It was broken in the box. I would recommend just going to a marshalls or tj maxx because they sell higher quality products for a comparable price. Do not think this product is worth $12. The worst part is this product is not eligible for returns.
