Almost perfect rice cooker
I love the size of this rice cooker. For the 3 of us, one "cup" of rice is usually the perfect amount. It is recommended to use the measuring cup provided, which is really closer to 3/4 cup instead of 1 cup, so one cup uncooked is not really a full cup. Regardless, the cooker works well and much better than my 8 cup rice cooker! The size is perfect and fits in the cabinet easily. It cooks white and brown rice well with perfect texture. What I don't like is how difficult it is to see how much water add. The line blends in perfectly with the pot. I found that if you dry the measuring lines inside and get the light just right, you can see how much water to add - hence 4 stars instead of 5.

It does actually make 4 whole cups, and is so easy.
First of all Iโve only used it once since I just recently received it, but I had to leave a review specifically about the size. Before purchasing I read a lot of reviews claiming that it did not make 4 cups of rice. Iโm not certain what people are doing wrong but mine made 4 cups. I made white rice using the measuring cups provided. The instructions say to fill the cup to the top for 2 cups of rice or 2 full cups for 4 cups of rice. I decided on 4. Be sure to wash your rice throughly to avoid a lot of starchy liquids boiling over. The photos I am providing are a 4 cup container nearly full to the line and would have been a full 4 cups had my husband not helped himself to a scoop. The rice turned out amazing, it was super easy, only 25 minutes. Clean up was a breeze, wipe down the unit, pop out the inside lid then wash the lid and the pot, dry and reassemble. voilร .

Great small rice cooker!
Works great! Cooks my rice very well. Easy to use. Good value for the price. No water leakage and weight is so light.

Defective Electric Cord
Overall, this cooker works as described on their website. However, its electric cord does not fit correctly. It comes off while cooking. I tried to get replacement from the GreenLife, but could not get through to them because of the hurdles on the AMZ and GrennLife websites.

5 stars for cooking but 1 star for non-intuitive buttons
I've been impressed with GreenLife and GreenPan stovetop pans and utensils, and thought I couldn't go wrong with this rice cooker. It makes perfect rice if you can manage to get the start button to work. I should have believed the reviews that complained about this. On mine, the menu button works but that's it. Almost impossible to get it to start or stop. I have to unplug it to turn it off. GreenLife should stick to non-electrical products if this is the best they can do. I wanted to be happy with it but I'm not. UPDATE after a few days: After reading the fine print (tiny font in light gray on white paper almost illegible) buried in the instruction booklet I discovered the Start and Stop buttons require a long press of 3 seconds. Seriously? Who would ever intuit a 3 second press was needed when every other kitchen product on the planet takes a quick touch to operate? But the unit does now work correctly using the long press to operate so in fairness I've raised my rating from 3 to 4 stars.
