El Paso Designs Mexican Yoga Blanket – Colorful Falsa Serape Throw for Yoga, Beach, Picnic, Saddle, or Home Décor – Soft Woven Boho Blanket (Blue and Tan)

The MOST VIBRANT, TIGHTLY-WEAVED Mexican Blanket OUT THERE !!!!! AND I do not say this lightly. I had purchased this to use on my outdoor concrete patio for putting an extra chair upon for BBQing with guests. This is SOOO huge and SOOO vibrant that I instead used it for my kitchen floor. I would have had to use it folded over length-wise AND THEN AGAIN width-wise for my outside use..... but it was SOOOO BEYOND NICE that I didn't dare put it outside. I have recently moved without most of my life's belongings and in needing to start over and doing my research... this puppy rocked my boat!! HOWEVER, upon seeing it in person ------- I TRULY DO NOT BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL EVER FIND A NICER BLANKET OUT THERE!!! The weave is tighter than any other MexBlanket I have ever seen. Yes, of course if you've a pet -- that might change over time but only due to how it is weaved that materials that it is weaved from. The colors are pure and vibrant!! What you will normally see searching for these kinds of blankets are colors weaved with whitish threads bringing the vibrancy down to nothing. The colors in this blanket are beyond vibrant! They truly look their color without dusty interference of whitish interthreads that make the blanket what it is. I've been around the block a few times and have come to know excellent quality when I receive it....... El Paso Designs offers a quality rug that I have never seen the likes of otherwise (and no, I do not work for them... my 1st order ever from them). The vibrancy and true color that you see in the pictures here ---- well, expect to also see it in your home! No dulling whitish threads to dull even one single color of this blanket. I personally would consider this blanket a 50-star item even if I could only offer 10 stars. (I have yet to wash it and time will only tell....but judging what arrived vs what else I've seen...... I do not foresee any problems (i hope). Washing on Cold should keep the colors from fading, washing it should not IMHO even affect the FULL color vibrancy of colors. This blanket will COLOR-POP anything you put it on!! Go ahead and check out the other blankets here on amazon (or anywhere else for that matter) ---- they will consist of that whitish toning-down threads that are not vibrant and end up subduing colors. On a final note, I was not intending any new kitchen rug to be a Mexican Serape Style moment...... but I am beyond gosh-darned happy I bought this rug and chose to use it otherwise (even if for now (yes, not my norm style indoors))!!! Even if I do end up moving it outside due to my tastes insides ----- I will still be thrilled to have purchased this rug/blanket...... YOU CANNOT AND WILL NOT FIND SUCH VIBRANT COLORS in this style of Mexican rug/blanket IMHO as of Nov 2016 here on amazon at least due to every other Mex blanket pic I see!!!!! ....50 stars El Paso Designs!!!! Thank You!!!!! :) I post a pic or two here of the actual colors of the rug in my kitchen. Due to CFL indoor lighting vs camera sensitivity, it truly is too hard to capture the colors showing the entire rug ---- but hopefully you'll get a taste of the actual colors weaved in this rug VS the 1970's item that we all used to wear around a campfire....and that is the only thing I have seen here for sale in 2016 other than THIS blanket :) (these pics hopefully show what I never expected to receive and NOT what the older (and apparently newer) blankets look like as a whole..... NOTHING COMPARES to this blanket's colors in any way, shape, or appearance from the average mexican blanket. It is decently thick, weaved well, and I personally would never EVER consider buying another blanket from ANY OTHER COMPANY than this at this moment in time.)

Excellent quality, beautiful workmanship, the medium is so ample. Having these adds to the yoga happiness. Definitely, so happy I chose this company’s product. You’ll be pleased. I bought two,, and the colors are so pretty.

I bought these in a bundle of 5 to have my own yoga blankets during the pandemic, rather than use the ones in the studio. They are perfect for this. If you live north of the 39th parallel (ie-north of Washington DC or Sacramento or Kansas City) you would never consider these "warm blankets", but they have a nice hand. They smelled of sizing right out of the box. I washed them on a delicate cycle (warm water, gentle agitation) and dried them in the dryer on a warm, not hot, setting. They washed well, leaving less lint than a new set of good towels. Washing firmed up the weave nicely and they shrank a bit. Washed size is 4 foot by slightly less than 6 foot, excluding fringe. As someone noted, the selvedge edge is serged, so I will watch out for fraying as I use them. I didn't do a fiber test on them, but they seem to be cotton and acrylic yarns. My old dog would rip one to shreds in a heartbeat, but for most cases where you need a cheap, small blanket, these are great. Can't beat the price at $12.00 apiece. Recommended!

Mexican falsa blankets are ideal for a yoga studio. They are thicker than most blankets and definitely keep people warm during meditation, which can get chilly if they're really into it. They are also really good to fold up and use as a bolster (under the knee, back, etc).. they are thick enough to kneel on without having weight crunch the blanket into the floor. They keep their shape and keep your knees safe from injury. As a business owner having these will provide me additional comfort in knowing someone is less likely to get hurt. They aren't soft like Sherpa or anything, but they are still really soft. They do not itch at all and when they arrived from shipping they didn't have any type of irritating smell to them which is nice. A part of me was expecting a bad smell lol I ordered 10 of these on saturday, and by Monday (even though it was memorial day) there was a box at my door. I was slightly disappointed to see that only 8 of the 10 were shipped, but I'm expecting the other 2 by tomorrow night. Had I known that were to happen I would have ordered a few different color styles to get them quicker. My account was updated quickly by seller/amazon on when to expect the other 2, I just didn't see it until it was too late to do that. I don't hold fault again st seller or amazon for that, as it was my own timing in checking messages lol The blankets themselves are beautiful! I'm no expert on mexican falsa blankets but I'm pretty certain that they are authentic. They are soft, warm and add a little extra coziness to a meditation. Anyway I'd recommend these. I searched several different amazon sellers and other websites aside from amazon, looking for the best price with delivery time, as I needed them in a hurry. Buying them from this seller worked out beautifully. You can get these in different sizes, but I needed the larger size as I have some taller clients... For this sized blanket, with the total cost (price plus shipping) and speed of delivery this was the best deal. Even though 2 are arriving later than expected I am pleased with this purchase! Thumbs up all around

Got this because I prefer using my own equipment for yoga class. It works well and has a good weight to it. Nice colors too. Washed well and used low heat to dry.

I didn’t want to spend big bucks replacing my crusty outdoor furniture cushions, so I was looking for something to cover them that I could wash easily and that would hold up to being outdoors. This blanket hit the mark! It’s comfortable and makes my backyard look a little boho, which I love.

Brilliant blanket strong colour everything it claims to be

Even though we were just in Mexico and you can get blankets for $10 in Cancun, I haven't seen this color and it's cheaper to order than to go back and find it. My daughter loves the color and it's one of the very lightweight blankets so it's easy for her to pack it around. Next time I'm in Mexico I'll be sure to try and find more colors like this.

Arrived right on time. Exactly as described! I washed it at 20°C on its own for 40min and then in the dryer (mix program) - size remained pretty much the same. It’s pleasantly heavy. Colors are exactly as on the picture! I can’t believe the price - this is a grab for the great quality you get. I loved it so much (I’m using it to meditate on it with an additional cushion to sit on) that a couple of days later I ordered another one! Will order again!

I use it for yoga all the time. This thing is not very thick but is just thick enough to be comfortable to sit on. Great looking and affordable.
