Update: tonight my son was watching TV when he screamed for me to come to his room. His TV had lost power and this power adapter was smoking 🔥🔥🔥 If I had not been there to unplug it who knows what could have happened. After looking at reviews I see I'm not the first person this has happened to. BUYER BEWARE!! I found a 2017 Sony XBR-43X800E at a Goodwill Bins on Sunday for $5 and took a gamble on it. I could not find a replacement power cable for under $60 but this one met all the spec requirements so I took a chance on this as well and it works perfectly. The TV turned on as soon as I plugged it in and is functioning perfect now!! I just wanted to share this in case anyone else has the same model and is considering buying this!
