For the REGULAR flavored syrups it's HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP. For the SUGAR FREE syrups it's SUCRALOSE. Which is similar or another name for the trademark name SPLENDA.

how does it make any sense at all that one bottle is $9.99 and 3 bottles are $11.99?

Maybe it has something to do with shipping and the post office. Just by 3! But I think even if you bought 1. The $10 is well worth it!

How do you read the expiration date on the bottle? it says mfgz4820 (bought this a good while back and want to know if it's still good.)

I could not find a date either. Per Alexa it can last indefinitely if not opened. After opening and kept in the fridge, again per Alexa, 6 months. I would think just go by taste and appearance (just me thinking).
