How do you step onto this platform from the ladder step?

Keep two hands on the ladder, climb to the step above the platform (with it closed), then with one foot slide the platform into place and step down onto it.

would this be compatible with the werner MT 22

I have the Werner MT-22 ladder and I have 2 of the Little Giant Platforms. 1 to hold tools and 1 to stand on. Fits perfectly and works great with no issues.

Will this fit my 30 year old Little Giant , I use lmost every day

Honestly, i bought my Little Giant at Costco about four years ago and I can't seem to make this platform work on it. Followed instructions, watched video, but the platform fits too tight on the ladder so it does not slide into the open position at all. Very frustrating

Can I use this platform for two people (one on each side of the extreme little giant extreme.?

If you mean two people on one platform, then no - not enough room and no way to balance like that. If you mean two platforms - one on each side of the ladder, then yes, it works great that way -- BUT BE AWARE that the ladder is only rated to hold a certain amount of weight per side. The Little Giant Xtreme is rated for 300 lbs., which means it will hold 300 lbs. safely on each side (it will actually hold much more, but less safely, and if it does break/fail they are only liable to help you if you didn't exceed the max. rated weight). This is good to know for any ladder. Some are only rated 200 lbs. And this platform does work on other ladders (Werner MT for example).

Mixed Feelings

I thought this looked to be a great answer to avoid buying a proper platform and it's NOT......it needs more security I found as it can be a little unstable where it sits on the rungs of the ladder....the platform is kicked back with your foot as you stand on the next rung of fixture to bring the platform ready to stand on but.....I find that the lip on the platform actually needs a securing piece of angled metal which really needs to be welded on in manufacture as the units are galvanized so doing any kind of mod destroys the galvanized protection so NOT ideal..... more thought should have been applied to this design at the factory.......pity really
