Great carpet cleaner
My Bissell carpet cleaner just broke so I bought this during prime days. I have a long haired cat who mainly occupies the downstairs of my house which is all carpet. He on occasion hacks up hairballs and what not or will run his butt along the carpet if his you-know-what is in his fur. Sometimes my 1yr old will spill the cats water or the cats wet cat food has splattered for whatever reason. So I always have a shampooer in my house and have always shampooed my carpets in general. So far It’s done very well the few times I’ve used it. Its cleaned any stains up even old ones I couldn’t get up in the past. I haven’t had to pretreat, where with my bissel I would have to. It’s very light and easy to maneuver around. My last two carpet cleaners,Hoover and Bissell, were bulky My favorite is the hose/spot cleaner attachment is all there and ready to go. My last two were separate, so you had to go get the hose and hook it up and take it off, which was not convenient imo. I also like that it has a dry only option so you can really make sure your carpet is dry. Which brings me to the suction, it’s strong. My Bissel was not as good. I like the hair collector basket in the dirty water canister. It’s easy to remove the canisters for tossing out the dirty water, and cleaning it, or refilling cleaner canister. It is sort of loud, not any louder than the other carpet cleaners I’ve had but I don’t really care about that personally. Overall I’m pleased with this purchase it’s, kind of expensive but it works exceptionally well. I feel it’s worth it with the results I’ve gotten and ease of use. Plus it will last along time.

Awesome!
I bought this because my super expensive (brand-name-not-to-be-mentioned) carpet cleaner decided that its sprayers were not going to work anymore. I am actually happy that I was put in a position were I needed to by this. It is light weight, very easy to use, and it really, really cleans a carpet! …and the solution/take-up solution compartments are intelligently placed (unlike my super-expensive Bi***ll). Buy this! You will love it!

Great performance and simple to clean after
I had an older carpet cleaner and while it did a serviceable job cleaning, it was a HUGE pain to clean everything out once finished. I'm very happy with this one. I cleaned an area rug yesterday and it came out great. It dispenses the cleaning water automatically when you push forward, and switches to suction (drying when you pull it backward). You do not have to manipulate a trigger. It also has a dry-only mode for going over the area once finished, which makes the dry time shorter. The best thing though is the dirty water tank and brush roll were a SNAP to clean out after. You just detach it from the cleaner, open the lid, clean out the hair trap (which works great) and dump out the grey water. Rinse out the tank and put back. Couldn't be simpler. I have not tested the onboard handheld cleaning wand but I would expect it to perform well. My only complaint would be that the dirty water tank fills up pretty rapidly so you spend a few trips emptying out the tank before the job is done if you're doing a room or a large carpet. Another complaint is that the supplied cleaning solution does not smell good and leaves a lingering smell in the room. The instructions say that the machine is designed to use only their cleaner, but I think we all know that's nonsense. I will switch to another cleaning solution.

IMPRESSIVE!!
Shark CarpetXpert Hair Pro - This is the most well designed carpet shampooer I have ever used. Aside from that, it performs incredibly well! I love the Shark vacuums and decided to give them a try for a shampooer. It had been several months since my carpet was last cleaned and we also took in a rescue dog that was not house trained shorty after it arrived. This machine received daily use for several weeks. I shampooed my entire house and nearly every piece of furniture sometimes more than once. It removed 10+ year old stains, residual smell of pet pig and pet rat urine (iykyk), chicken coop muck and mud, grease and softball sized amounts of embedded fur. I don’t think I’ve ever been so impressed! We are seriously hard on our carpet. We live on a farm with live stock, pets and kids. I’ve bought nearly every brand of shampooer out there. All of the major brands and most popular models. This machine absolutely blew them out of the water! Our carpet is 15 years old and looks BRAND NEW! The only possible downside for some might be the smaller tank. I have a shoulder injury and don’t mind the lighter weight of this one. It cleans so well that I don’t even mind emptying the tank more frequently. My carpet is fully dry in 1-2 hours! I can’t even explain how nice it is that you can easily clean every single part of this machine. 5 stars! Highly recommend! Bravo to the people that designed this one!

Pretty Good
Works pretty well. Not as good as my old Royal carpet extractor. Could use a longer electric cord. Small tanks. Takes several tanks to clean average size room. The test will be to see how long it lasts. I stopped buying cheap carpet cleaners about 29 years ago. I had to buy a new one every year. The Royal lasted for 29 years. We will see how it goes.

Both the Best and the Worst Carpet Cleaner I've ever used.
How well this cleaner works depends entirely it seems on what type of carpet you're trying to clean. I have two area rugs in my house - this is the best shampooer I've ever used on one, and the worst on the other. Both rugs are fairly low pile, but totally different material/feel. One is an almost velvety feeling synthetic rug (think closer to a standard, cheapish area rug like you'd find at a big box store), and this works great on it. I also have a large no-pile 100% cotton rug, and this doesn't work at all for it (every other shampooer I've had worked fine). An important thing to note with this model is that there is no trigger to dispense solution, it does it automatically with forward movement. That feature doesn't work on the cotton rug - it was dry as a bone after multiple forward only passes. When I use the upholstery attachment to get solution onto the carpet, the main unit won't pick up the solution unless I lightly step on the front of the unit to get better contact with the rug. Even then, this rug took substantially longer to dry because I was not able to adequately remove the water/solution (that I had to manually add because the unit would not dispense on that particular surface). I do really like the option for dry only (no dispensing of water/solution). For the rug this unit worked on, I was able to have the rug almost completely dry immediately (even after including a "rinse" pass and putting down additional liquid), which was great. The pet hair "catcher" is fantastic. Considering my house is vacuumed a couple times a day, I was amazed at how much it picked up, and I loved that it was all captured in the little basket vs floating around in the dirty solution (and ultimately clogging my sink when I tried to empty it). Also, the upholstery attachment works phenomenally. I have both a little green machine and an upholstery steam cleaner, and this seems to outperform both. One last note, this came to be with a piece broken on the handle. I didn't realize that's what the random little plastic piece was until the handle wasn't wanting to stay in the machine and I looked it up. I'm able to make it work as it's not worth sending back as defective after unboxing and using it, but I'm annoyed. Bottom line, I bought this at a steep discount ($120 cheaper than what it's currently listed at), so I'm just trying to figure out how to make it work for the "other" rug, but if I had paid full price, I definitely would have sent this back. A carpet cleaner that costs over $300 should reliably work on all types of carpet, imo, and this definitely doesn't.

Easy clean up after use!!!
Performance is great. The best part is cleaning / emptying when finished, it’s so easy to clean and get ride if all the muck. There are no areas that trap nasty wet hair that can then stink because you can’t rinse that tight little spot. We purchased this to replace another model after 12 years of use but it always remained dirty in the reservoir - this model does not have that issue. The only improvement that could be made is maybe a heater but we just use warm water and it cleans with no issues.

Excellent machine definitely worth the cost
Best cleaner I've ever had! Carpet looks brand new. My only complaint would be that the tank is small and requires emptying more frequently, however, that does also make the overall machine lighter and easier to carry/ move from floor to floor.

The solution and the cleaner did a great job on my smelly sofa
The machine a pretty heavy but it does not affect the impression of great cleaning and suction for me

Amazing, lightweight carpet cleaner! Instructions below 👇
1. Spray H2O2 for stains and agitated with "dry only" mode or hand tool. 2. Next, fill your clean water tank using any carpet shampoo concentrate (but you should add less concentrate for Hoover, etc). 3. At a quick walking pace, vaccum the entire room without caring about overlapping your lines. Get the detergent everywhere. 4. Fill your clean water tank with only water and vaccum your carpet at a slow walking pace and overlapping lines. 5. Repeat step 4 once or twice. 6. Monitor your waste water tank. If you aren't happy with how dirty your waster water tank is then go back to step 2. 7. Use "Dry Only", vaccum dry your carpet to acceptable levels of moisture. 8. Accelerate the drying process with fans.

Amazing!
After so much research I settled on the shark and couldn't be more happy with this. We have several spots that were flat and stand for pets, child and wear and turn and the shark has brought it almost back to new. Yes, you will need to empty the dirty water several times, but don't let that deter you, because this is a superior carpet cleaner. I wish I had taken a before and after to post the huge difference, it also smells amazing lol

Highly recommend.
We’ve had nothing but great experiences with Shark products, and this carpet cleaner is no exception. It works really well, is easy to use, lightweight, and feels well designed. My girlfriend loves how simple it is to use, and we’re both very happy with how well it cleans. After using several Shark products over the years, they’ve become one of our go-to brands.

Worth it.
This carpet cleaner is a beast. Truly amazing. Works really well and doesn’t take forever to get stains out. Bring both an upright and spot cleaner is a game changer The dirty water container does fill up fast however, depending on the size of room/ how dirty it is. You will need to empty multiple times. I believe I emptied it 5-6 times for my main room. It is also on the heavier side. Still worth it. I cleaned my entire upstairs yesterday and it took stains out that my Bissel upright and spit cleaner wasn’t removing.
