Great Google device. It allows access to "Over the air" channels incorporated into the menu option of your service (i.e.Sling TV) in addition to quick Netflix access button and Internet channels set up via apps. Downfall..........do not waste money on hard drive since it allows solely "DVR" options for over the air channels. Nothing less than 100GB drive suggested. It wont recognize less.

I have two of these (on two different TVs in the house) and they set up nicely, and I liked the way the menus were laid out and the fact that they work with OTA channels as well as SlingTV. The major problem is that they dropped offline (both OTA and SlingTV channels) and the screen froze. It would take a reboot of the AirTV box to get the unit functioning again. If it were happening on just one unit, I would have worked with the AirTV folks to eliminate (or lessen) the problem, but this happened on both units. I finally retired these and went with the Amazon FireTV Recast box. So far this is working great and has a few minor issues, but nothing I can't work with. I wouldn't recommend the AriTV box because of this.

This is the 5th AirTV thet I have purchased. Love them except they constantly just freeze up or just shut off and back on for no reason!

The AirTV Player was relatively easy to setup and integrated 40 OTA channels with my existing sling account. Remote is simple and fully functional. Everything was going well until I learned that this product is a step backwards from the black box AirTV in that the AirTV player is only single tuner. The whole reason I bought it was to make OTA channels available to other TVs from the single attenna attached to it.. I called support and confirmed its for single TV only. (In which case I could have just stayed with Roku that I had. I was told dual-tuner can be enable with a software update that is not yet developed and they could not provide a timeframe. If it had dual-tuner, I would be a 4-5 stars. Disappointed...will send back and revert back to Roku unless upgrade is pending.

Overall, the AirTV Player is great. It was very easy to set up. You can connect an antenna and then local channels appear in the menu alongside channels from whichever streaming service you use. The AirTV remote is incredibly easy to use and has just a few buttons including a dedicated Netflix button which bypasses menus and opens that app immediately. The remote will turn the TV on and off, it will adjust the volume on the TV, and it will operate a separate soundbar if you have one. Really one remote for all those things. I love that simplicity. The one drawback is that the unit occasionally (like once or twice per day) drops whatever channel I'm watching and just randomly goes back to the menu. This occurs even when watching local antenna channels so it doesn't seem related to possible hiccups in the wifi signal. I suspect one of my neighbors has an AirTV player and maybe my unit is picking up commands from their remote, but that's just speculation. Anyway, if not for that bizarre issue I would have rated this at 5 stars plus. Overall I'm super happy with it.

Bought in May 2019 mainly for the OTA integration with Sling. With each update of the sling app, this crap became slower and slower. Constant freezes etc. Today, I finally tossed it in garbage. Was looking forward to the Superbowl on local Fox OTA channel and behold, the stupid thing lost the channel. No help with Multiple rescans. I have had it with this piece of garbage. Is there another alternative to Sling + OTA other than this stupid thing.

Great product, watch TV on the beach, waiting rooms, anytime anywhere on your own terms. Easy to use, clear reception. Excellent performance.

If this worked as intended just 85% of the time, I'd be absolutely thrilled! But, I totally agree with the previous reviews that say this has issues. It will frequently -- at least once every hour -- just shut down or go back to the main screen or just lock up. Sometimes, once a week or so, will not even come on, requiring you to unplug & plug back in. This would be the absolute ideal solution to combining Sling TV and over the air TV if it just worked right. The guide is awesome, the remote is very basic (but that is the greatest appeal to me & my wife!) and this is so easy to use that my 3 year old granddaughter can use it -- well, at least until it does something stupid like go back to the main screen or lock up. It is almost like this was the beta version and the manufacturer said "just sell it as is, bugs and all". I have three of these devices and they all act the same, same bugs... If there was a solution that combined over the air and Sling TV program guides, then I'd dump the AirTV Player in a nanosecond...
