This is a very good vacuum. Very easy to use and has good suction for something not that expensive. I used it for my 36 gallon bow tank and it did perfect. Very pleased.

Cleaning my fish tank used to be one of the messiest and most time-consuming chores. After using this gravel vacuum, I can confidently say I’m never going back to doing it the old way. ✅ What I loved: -Super easy setup. Setup took less than 2 minutes. Just make sure the squeeze bulb is connected to the “IN” side and your hose is on the “OUT” side. -The included tank clip is actually really helpful — it keeps everything stable so you’re not juggling the hose while working. -Strong, controlled suction. Before putting it in the tank, I tested it against my hand — it had strong pull, but once in the tank it was perfectly balanced. It pulled up dirty water and debris easily without disturbing my gravel, decor, or live plants. -Does NOT suck up gravel. This was a big concern for me, but it didn’t remove a single piece of gravel. It only pulled out the dirty, mucky water — and honestly, more than I expected. -Fast and efficient. I removed about 30–40% of the water in just a few minutes. It took about 3 pumps to get the siphon going, then it maintained a steady, consistent flow with zero splashing. -Continuous flow feature (HUGE bonus). Once the flow starts, you don’t have to keep squeezing the bulb — it keeps draining on its own. This frees up a hand so you can focus on actually cleaning instead of constantly pumping. -Night-and-day difference in cleaning. Compared to hand scooping water out, this cut my cleaning time in half. I was able to clean around decor, along the glass, and into corners with precision — even catching debris mid-swirl before it settled back down. -Easy to control. One hand to start the siphon, then you can guide the vacuum freely once the flow continues on its own. -Low mess. No splashing or spills during use. The only water I got outside the tank was when removing the device at the end. -Fish-friendly. My catfish didn’t react at all — which is HUGE. During previous cleanings they would get stressed, but this time they were completely unbothered, even when the vacuum was right next to them. ⚠️ Minor downside: There’s no real storage solution included, so you’ll need to figure out where to keep the hose. 🧼 Cleaning tip: To clean the vacuum itself, just run clean tap water through it using the same siphon method — super quick and easy. 📏 Extra details: -Hose length (measured): ~6 feet -Strong but controlled suction -No gravel loss -No mess during use -My video shows how to start the siphon and how it continues flowing on its own — this was a game-changer for me and makes the whole process much easier. Final verdict: This is absolutely worth it — it made one of the hardest parts of owning a fish tank fast, clean, and stress-free. Product? It works. But after several use? I prefer with vacuum motor it will be more helpful and NOT TIRING to use (my personal opinion and experience only).

This product is life-changing! From someone who owns amazing turtles, their tank maintenance could be hectic. This has completely changed the maintenance game for me. While reducing the struggle to deposit loads of water in a separate bucket, no longer have to struggle with this new amazing device. User-friendly, beginner, friendly, easy to construct and deconstruct. Such an easy way to go about cleaning your pets tank. Time effective as it reduces the physical labor to remove water from the tank. I now can enjoy this process of cleaning my tank for my amazing babies. Without a doubt, for this amazing price, you will not regret this if you’re looking for an easier way to maintain your aquatic pets habitat

So please note that I use this in a fish bowl. Yes I know a fish should not be in a bowl or in a cup but for now I am limited and it's accommodation. Also don't kill me because I have to buy necessity of the circumstances to change the water. So when using this I realize in the Fishbowl that it acts more as a vacuum especially on the gravel then a siphoning to change water in the Fishbowl. Yes I do realize that my situation limits the functionality of the product due to its small size and the tricks that can be done in the tank such as the insertion method trick can't be done. But for those who have small fish bowls or containers this is harder to use for siphoning water as there is limit as well and it sucks more of the bottom like a vacuum however I will use this whenever I get a 10 gallon tank for my fish again and change my review if needed. However I will be setting up my fish tank to be self-reliant so I would not I assume change the water as it will be self cleaning via bacteria and other organisms as well as the substrate and plants. yes I know that changing the water in an aquarium is not beneficial for the fish. Lastly this particular siphon was on Amazon more than half cheaper than the local fish store which was charging about 20 bucks for it.

When doing a water changed I noticed how much debris came up and I would pour the water out of the gravel so I decided to order this the 5ft-s after ordering it cam in 2 days and it does a great job of vacuuming the debris out of my gravel for reference I have a 5 gallon fish tank and this worked wonderfully to note you will have to pump a few times to get the water running, but the water does come out fast, but the water will only come out when it’s facing downwards not when it is facing up but when it started to run fast, I just stopped it with my finger, but it did a fabulous job with the debris sometimes because I take breaks between dumping out the water the siphon I did have to pump a few more times to get it running again, but it worked really great and I got all the debris out. It sucked up the debris wonderfully. Also, it is so easy to assemble just to make sure with the ball that you squeeze, you have it in the tube the right way or it will be a pain to get out but that was my fault for not reading the instructions correctly. The clip worked great against my tank and the 5FT – S was perfect for my size aquarium. One more thing for the people that have live plants. It did not suck up the gravel or mess up the way my plants were planted in my tank. UPDATE: it’s been 3 weeks and I have used it twice and it has worked good. The ball siphon was being annoying once for a little but now it is good.

Great length. Works well. Has a slower flow than my other gravel vac without the pump. Which comes in handy when actually trying to clean up some debris faster than it takes to empty out the tank completely. The pump has one direction flow so ensure you put together properly. The pump is actually 3 pieces, 2 ends and the pump unit itself. One of the ends come off kind of easy now, because I put together wrong originally and had to tear it apart. My bad. But I do like to take it apart to dry out completely anyways. Takes 3 to 4 good squeezes to start the siphon for the length of the vacuum tube. The small filter is good for keeping larger items from clogging the hose but I have found it is kind of difficult to clean especially after using it to siphon out plant trimmings and frobit roots. All and all a great buy and works well for my needs.
